dc.description.abstract	งานศึกษานี้มุ่งศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความขัดแย้งทางการเมืองภายในและการดำเนินนโยบายต่างประเทศของไทยในสมัยจอมพล ป. พิบูลสงครามระหว่าง พ.ศ. 2491-2495 ข้อมูลจากการศึกษาได้สนับสนุนสมมุติฐานว่า ในสมัยที่จอมพล ป. พิบูลสงครามเป็นนายกรัฐมนตรีในระหว่างพ.ศ. 2491-2495 นั้น รัฐบาลอยู่ในสถานะที่อ่อนแอและไร้เสถียรภาพ เนื่องจากถูกต่อต้านจากกลุ่มการเมืองฝ่ายตรงข้ามอยู่ตลอดเวลา การดำเนินนโยบายต่างประเทศที่ต่อต้านคอมมิวนิสต์จึงเป็นมาตรการอันหนึ่งที่รัฐบาลนำมาใช้เพื่อให้รัฐบาลมีสถานะที่เข้มแข็งขึ้น ทำให้รัฐบาลได้รับการยอมรับจากนานาชาติโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งจากสหรัฐอเมริกา ในขณะเดียวกันก็สร้างความชอบธรรมให้กับรัฐบาลในการจับกุมและปราบปรามกลุ่มการเมืองฝ่ายตรงข้ามด้วยข้อกล่าวหาว่ามีความเกี่ยวข้องกับขบวนการคอมมิวนิสต์ ส่งผลให้รัฐบาลอยู่ในสถานะที่มีเสถียรภาพได้ช่วงเวลาหนึ่ง	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	The main theme of this thesis is the relationship between Thailand's internal political conflict and its foreign policy implementation during 1948-1952. The evidenes in the study support the hypothesis that Prime Minister Field Marshal Plaek Pibunsongkram had formulated and implemented the anti-communist foreign policy to suppress his political rivalry groups, in order to gain recognitions and supports from foreign allies, espeially the United States as well as to maintain the regime's stability.	en
