dc.description.abstractสำรวจระดับสติปัญญา การเจริญเติบโตและภาวะสุขภาพของเด็กวัยเรียนในภาคกลาง กลุ่มตัวอย่างได้แก่ เด็กอายุ 6-12 ปี จากบัญชีรายชื่อโครงการสำรวจสภาวะการเปลี่ยนแปลงประชากร พ.ศ. 2538-2539 ใน 8 จังหวัดที่สุ่มเลือกมาศึกษาด้วยวิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบ Multi-stage Sampling การทดสอบระดับสติปัญญาใช้แบบทดสอบชนิดไม่ใช้ภาษา (TONI 2) การประเมินการเจริญเติบโตใช้ Waterlow's classfication และประเมินภาวะสุขภาพจากการสัมภาษณ์และตรวจร่างกาย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า เด็กวัยเรียนในภาคกลางมีระดับสติปัญญาต่ำกว่าเกณฑ์ปกติ (below average) ร้อยละ 45.3 ระดับสติปัญญาปกติ (average) ร้อยละ 46.4 และระดับสติปัญญาสูงกว่าปกติ (above average) ร้อยละ 8.2 ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับระดับสติปัญญาของเด็กวัยเรียน ได้แก่ อายุ การใช้เวลาดูโทรทัศน์ การศึกษาบิดามารดา อาชีพบิดามารดา สถานภาพสมรส รายได้ครอบครัว เขตที่อยู่ การพบเห็นบิดามารดาทะเลาะหรือทำร้ายร่างกายกัน และจำนวนบุตร (p<0.05) ส่วนการเจริญเติบโตอยู่ในเกณฑ์ปกติ ร้อยละ 89.0 และอยู่ในเกณฑ์ไม่ปกติ ร้อยละ 11.0 ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับการเจริญเติบโต ได้แก่ เพศ อาชีพบิดา รายได้ครอบครัว และจำนวนบุตร (p<0.05) ด้านภาวะสุขภาพเด็กวัยเรียนจากการตรวจร่างกายส่วนมากปกติ แต่พบฟันผุ ร้อยละ 56.4 ปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับภาวะสุขภาพ ได้แก่ ศาสนา อายุ ผู้อุปการะเลี้ยงดู การศึกษาบิดามารดา อาชีพบิดา สถานภาพสมรส รายได้ครอบครัว เขตที่อยู่ และลักษณะครอบครัว (p<0.05) จากข้อมูลดังกล่าวสามารถนำไปเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาศักยภาพทั้งทางด้านร่างกาย จิตใจและสติปัญญาของเด็กวัยเรียนต่อไปen
dc.description.abstractalternativeSurveys was to know intellectual level, growth and health status of school-age children in Central region of Thailand. The sample were children, aged 6-12 years from the list of a survey of population change during 1995-1996 in 8 provinces of Central region, using multi-stage sampling. Intellectual level and growth were assessed by using the Test of Nonverbal Intelligence, second edition. (TONI 2) and Waterlow's classification, respectively. Health status was evaluated by using health interview and examination survey. The results showed that intellectual level of school-age children were classified as below average 45.3%, average 46.4%, and above average 8.2%, respectively. Factors associated with intellectual level were age, period of watching television, education and occupation of parents, marital status, income, residential areas, altercation or assault of parents and number of children (p<0.05). Growth were classified as normal about 89% and 11% were abnormal. Factors associated with growth were sex, development record, father occupation, income and number of children (p<0.05). Health examination survey found that most of school-age children's health status was normal but 56.4% of them were dental caries. Factors associated with health status were religion, age, guardian, parents' education, fathers' occupation, marital status, income, residential areas and family characteristic (p<0.05). Results from this study can be the guideline to develop strategies to improve physical, mental and intellectual level of school-age children.en
