| Abstract: | การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) สำรวจระดับความรู้และความคิดเห็นต่อการนอนกัดฟันของผู้ป่วยที่มารับการรักษาทางทันตกรรม และ (2) ศึกษาผลของปัจจัยด้านเพศ อายุ ระดับการศึกษา การรับทราบข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการนอนกัดฟัน และการรายงานการนอนกัดฟันต่อระดับความรู้และความคิดเห็น ทำการศึกษาในคณะทันตแพทย์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ช่วงเดือนตุลาคมถึงธันวาคม 2547 โดยผู้ป่วยจำนวน 450 คนตอบแบบสอบถามซึ่งประกอบด้วยแบบวัดความรู้จำนวน 25 ข้อ ครอบคลุมเนื้อหาต่างๆ ของการนอนกัดฟัน และแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นต่อการนอนกัดฟันในด้านต่างๆ จำนวน 20 ข้อ แบบสอบถามนี้ผ่านการประเมินความตรงโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ ในสาขาทันตแพทยศาสตร์และสาขาสังคมศาสตร์ และผ่านการทดสอบความเที่ยง โดยแบบวัดความรู้มีค่าความเชื่อมั่น .8778 และแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นมีค่าความเชื่อมั่น .8224 ผลศึกษาพบว่าผู้ป่วยมีคะแนนรวมในด้านความรู้เรื่องนอนกัดฟันโดยเฉลี่ยร้อยละ 39.8 ซึ่งถือว่าอยู่ในระดับน้อย ผู้ป่วยร้อยละ 51.6-81.9 เห็นว่าการนอนกัดฟันมีผลกระทบต่อการใช้ชีวิตประจำวันไม่มากนัก และผู้ป่วยร้อยละ 50.7-68.9 ไม่ค่อยสนใจติดตามข่าวสารเกี่ยวกับการนอนกัดฟัน แต่อย่างไรก็ตามผู้ป่วยที่มารับการรักษาทางทันตกรรมร้อยละ 78.9 ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการรักษาการนอนกัดฟัน ในส่วนของความรู้พบว่าไม่มีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญในผู้ป่วยที่มีเพศ อายุ และการรายงานการนอนกัดฟันต่างกัน ผู้ป่วยที่มีการศึกษาระดับสูงและผู้ป่วยที่เคยรับทราบข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการนอนกัดฟันจะมีความรู้มากกว่าอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ (p<.01) ในส่วนของความคิดเห็นพบว่าไม่มีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญในผู้ป่วยที่มีเพศ อายุ ระดับการศึกษา และการรับทราบข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการนอนกัดฟันต่างกัน แต่อย่างไรก็ตามผู้ป่วยที่รายงานการนอนกัดฟันต่างกันมีความคิดเห็นต่อการนอนกัดฟันต่างกันบ้างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ (p<.01) โดยสรุปพบว่าถึงแม้ผู้ป่วยที่มารับการรักษาทางทันตกรรมจะตระหนักถึงความสำคัญในการรักษา แต่ผู้ป่วยก็ยังมีความรู้เกี่ยวกับเรื่องนอนกัดฟันระดับน้อย เห็นว่าการนอนกัดฟันมีผลกระทบต่อชีวิตประจำวันไม่มากนักและไม่ค่อยสนใจติดตามข่าวสารเรื่องการนอนกัดฟัน |
| Other Abstract: | This purpose of this study were (1) to survey knowledge level and opinions of dental patients to bruxism and (2) to study the effect of gender, age, education, perception about bruxism and self report of bruxism to the knowledge level and the opinions. The study was conducted between October to December 2004. Total of 450 patients were included. A 25-item test for measuring the knowledge and a 20-item questionnaire for the opinion assessment were developed. The validity of the scale was approved by experts in the fields of dental sciences and social sciences. The reliability of the scale was .8778 in knowledge test and .8224 in opinion questionnaire. The result of this study revealed that the dental patients had low knowledge score as average of 39.8%. In addition 51.6-81.9% of the patients felt that bruxism had minor impact on daily life and 50.7-68.9% of them had few interests in seeking information about bruxism. However 78.9% of the dental patients realized the importance of bruxism treatment. In knowledge component, no significant difference was found between patients with different gender, age and perception about bruxism. Patients with higher education and patgient who were informed previously about bruxism had more knowledge level (p<.01). In opinion component, no significant difference was found in patient with different gender, age, education and perception about bruxism. However patients with different self report of bruxism had some different opinions (p<.01) In conclusion, it was found that although most patients realized the importance of bruxism treatment, they had little knowledge about bruxism, minor impact on daily life, and few interests in seeking information about bruxism. |
