dc.description.abstractในระยะ 20 ปี ที่ผ่านมาได้มีการพัฒนาการออกแบบองค์กรแฟ้มข้อมูลอยู่เสมอเพื่อให้สามารถค้นหาระเบียบข้อมูลที่ต้องการได้สะดวก ถูกต้องและรวดเร็ว โดยพยายามออกแบบแฟ้มข้อมูลให้ใช้เวลาในการค้นหาระเบียบข้อมูลที่ต้องการน้อยที่สุด งานวิจัยนี้ได้ทำการศึกษาหามาตรการในการกำหนด จำนวนระเบียบในบล็อกเพื่อให้ขนาดอุตตมะของบล็อกในแฟ้มข้อมูลแบบอนุบรรพเชิงดัชนี มีดัชนีเพียงระดับเดียวและ 2 ระดับ โดยมุ่งหวังให้เวลาที่ใช้ไปในการค้นหาระเบียบข้อมูลที่ต้องการน้อยที่สุดจากผลการทดลองพบว่าเมื่อแฟ้มข้อมูลถูกออกแบบอย่างถูกต้องให้มีดัชนีเพียงระดับเดียวเวลาที่ใช้ในการค้นหาระเบียบข้อมูลโดยเฉลี่ยจะเหลือเพียงประมาณร้อยละ 60 ของเวลาที่ใช้ไปในแฟ้มข้อมูลปัจจุบัน ของระบบพัสดุคงคลังของการไฟฟ้าฝ่ายผลิตแห่งประเทศไทย ประโยชน์ที่ได้จากการวิจัยคือ สามารถนำมาตรการที่ได้จากการวิจัยไปใช้ในการออกแบบแฟ้มข้อมูลแบบอนุบรรพเชิงดัชนีเพื่อให้เวลาที่ใช้ไปในการค้นหาระเบียบข้อมูลที่ต้องการน้อยที่สุดและเป็นการใช้เวลาคอมพิวเตอร์อย่างประหยัด นอกจากนี้ยังสามารถนำแนวคิดในลักษณะนี้ไปปรับปรุงแฟ้มข้อมูลที่องค์กรแบบอื่นอีกด้วย
dc.description.abstractalternativeThis research work describes a procedure to design the optimal block size in the Indexed Sequential file in order to minimize the average search time and to maximize the usage of the disk storage. Some considerations are given as a guideline to determine the number of the indexed block level in the Indexed Sequential file. The existing EGAT inventory system is used as a bench mark for the comparison of the performance of the Indexed Sequentile file designed by the established procedure. The total average processing time is reduced to approximately 60 % of the present EGAT inventory system.
