dc.description.abstractการวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาอัตราเร็วในการอ่าน และความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ในกรุงเทพมหานครและเพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างอัตราเร็วในการอ่าน ความเข้าใจในการอ่าน และสัมฤทธิผลในการเรียน ในวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ ผู้วิจัยได้สร้างแบบทดสอบอัตราเร็วในการอ่านและความเข้าใจในการอ่าน 2 ฉบับแบบทดสอบทั้ง 2 ฉบับนี้ได้รับการตรวจสอบความตรงตามเนื้อหาจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจำนวน 5 ท่านและ การวิเคราะห์เพื่อหาความเที่ยงก่อนที่จะนำไปทดสอบกับตัวอย่างประชากรซึ่งเป็นนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 จำนวน 240 คน จากโรงเรียนมัธยมศึกษา ในกรุงเทพมหานครจำนวน 8 แห่ง ส่วนสัมฤทธิผลในการเรียนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ ได้มาจากระดับคะแนนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษที่นักเรียนได้รับในภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2528 นำข้อมูลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์หาค่าอัตราเร็วในการอ่านเป็นคำต่อนาที ความเข้าใจในการอ่านเป็นร้อยละ ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิต ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์พหุคูณ ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า 1.นักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 มีอัตราเร็วในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ 104 คำต่อนาที 2.นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 มีความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษร้อยละ 53 3. สัมฤทธิผลในการเรียนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ มีความสัมพันธ์ในทางบวกกับอัตราเร็วในการอ่านและความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับ.05
dc.description.abstractalternativeThe purposes of this study were to investigate the English reading speed and reading comprehension of mathayom suksa four students in Bangkok Metropolis and to study the relationships among their reading speed, reading comprehension and learning achievement in English. The researcher constructed 2 reading speed and reading comprehension tests. The tests were examined on their content validity by five experts. The reliability of the tests was also calculated before they were administered to the samples who were 240 mathayom suksa four students from eight secondary schools in Bangkok Metropolis. Besides, The English learning achievement was obtained from the English grades which the students got in the first semester of the academic year 1985. The data were analyzed by calculating the reading speed in words per minute, reading comprehension in percent and by means of arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple correlation coefficient and multiple correlation. The results of the study were as follows : 1. The English reading speed of mathayom suksa four students was 104 words per minute. 2. The English reading comprehension of mathayom suksa four students was 53 percent. 3. The English learning achievement was positively correlated with the English reading speed and reading comprehension at the .05 level of significance.
