dc.description.abstract	การศึกษาเรื่องนี้ใช้วิธีการศึกษาแบบพรรณาวิเคราะห์ โดยใช้ข้อมูลจากเอกสารและการสัมภาษณ์สมาชิกพรรคชาติไทย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ปัจจัยสำคัญที่มีผลกระทบต่อการก่อตั้ง การคงอยู่ และพัฒนาการของพรรคชาติไทย คือ ความสัมพันธ์เชิงอุปถัมภ์ของสังคมไทย (ความสัมพันธ์แบบเครือญาติ ความสัมพันธ์ส่วนตัว ความใกลชิด ความไว้วางใจ) และผลประโยชน์ที่มีร่วมกันในพรรค ตลอดจนบทบาทของพรรคและสภาพแวดล้อมทางการเมือง ซึ่งเป็นไปตามสมมุติฐานที่ได้กำหนดไว้ ส่วนพัฒนาการของพรรคชาติไทยนั้น พบว่า พรรคชาติไทยยังไม่มีการจัดตั้งสาขาพรรค และพัฒนาออกไป เป็นพรรคแบบ Mass Party และยังอยู่ในช่วงของการพัฒนาไปสู่ความเป็นสถาบัน
dc.description.abstractalternative	This research is both descriptive and analytical by using interviewing method with some promissing Chartthai Party Officials. The result is that the main factor which effects the formation and development of Chartthai Party is due to the relationship of patron-clients and the so-called “nepotism”. In this regards, two families, namely the Adirekarn and the Choonhavan, play a dominant role in controlling power in the Chartthai Party. Another finding is that Chartthai Party has no branch. Therefore, Chartthai Party is not a mass party rather than a “Family party”.
