dc.description.abstractวัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย เพื่อสร้างแบบสอบความสามารถด้านศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับนักเรียนเริ่มเรียน จากผลการเรียนตามความสามารถของแต่ละบุคคลของนักเรียนที่ใช้บทเรียนจิแลป (JILAP : Stage I and Stage II) และจากผลการเรียนโดยใช้แบบเรียน The Oxford English Course for Thailand; Book II and Book III วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย ผู้วิจัยได้สร้างแบบสอบความสามารถในการใช้ศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษจำนวน 3 แบบสอบ แต่ละแบบสอบประกอบด้วยแบบสอบคู่ขนาน (Parallel forms) ซึ่งมีจำนวนข้อสอบแบบสอบละ 15 ข้อ นำแบบสอบไปทดลองสอบกับตัวอย่างประชากร 2 ระดับ คือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนวัดธาตุทอง และชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 โรงเรียนสาธิตแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ซึ่งได้เรียนภาษาอังกฤษมาเป็นเวลา 2 ปี กับนักเรียนชั้นประถมปีที่ 7 โรงเรียนวัดธาตุทองและนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนสาธิตแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ ซึ่งได้เรียนภาษาอังกฤษเป็นเวลา 3 ปี ดำเนินการสอบโดยใช้วิธีการเดียวกัน นำคะแนนที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์ข้อสอบเป็นรายข้อ (Item analysis) หาค่าระดับความยาก ค่าอำนาจจำแนกข้อสอบ คำนวณหาค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิต ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ความคลาดเคลื่อนมาตรฐานของมัชฌิมเลขคณิต ความเชื่อถือได้ของแบบสอบ ความคลาดเคลื่อนมาตรฐานในการวัด สัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของคะแนนแบบเพียร์สัน และคำนวณอัตราส่วนวิกฤติเพื่อศึกษาความมีนัยสำคัญของผลต่างระหว่างค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิต คัดเลือกข้อสอบที่ดีจากการทดลองสอบของแบบสอบแต่ละคู่ โดยยึดหลักการพิจารณาจากค่าระดับความยากและอำนาจจำแนก รวมข้อสอบเป็นชุดเดียวในแต่ละแบบสอบ นำแบบสอบความสามารถด้านศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษทั้ง 3 แบบสอบไปสอบจริงกับตัวอย่างประชากรจำนวน 1086 คนในจังหวัดขอนแก่น คำนวณค่าสถิติของแบบสอบและข้อสอบ โดยใช้โปรแกรมอิตานัล (Itanal) ผ่านเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ชนิด IBM 350/145 ของสถาบันเทคโนโลยีแห่งเอเชีย ค่าสถิติที่คำนวณประกอบด้วยค่าระดับความยาก อำนาจจำแนกมัชฌิมเลขคณิต ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ความคลาดเคลื่อนมาตรฐานของมัชฌิมเลขคณิต ความเชื่อถือได้ของแบบสอบและความคลาดเคลื่อนมาตรฐานในการวัด ผลการวิจัย ได้แบบสอบความสามารถด้านศัพท์สำหรับนักเรียนเริ่มเรียนจำนวน 3 แบบสอบ แต่ละแบบสอบมีจำนวน 15 ข้อ ผลของการสอบจริงปรากฎว่าแบบสอบทั้งสามมีค่าระดับความยากแตกต่างกันตั้งแต่ง่ายมากจนถึงค่อนข้างยาก (0.19-0.93) ค่าอำนาจจำแนกสูงมาก (0.14-0.84) แบบสอบทั้ง 3 มีค่าความเชื่อถือได้อยู่ในระดับสูงเป็นที่น่าพอใจ (0.84-0.90) และมีความตรงเชิงเนื้อหา
dc.description.abstractalternativePurpose: The purpose of this study was to construct effective English vocabulary proficiency tests for beginners. The tests were based on individualized language materials, the Jacaranda Individualized Language Arts Program (JILAP); Stage I and Stage II, and The Oxford English Course for Thailand; Book II and Book III. Procedures: Three English vocabulary proficiency tests were constructed. Each test consisted of two parallel forms of 15 items each. These tests were pretested with two levels of students-Pratom 6 Wat Tat Thong school students and Pratom 4 Kasetsart Demonstration School students who had studied English for 2 years and Pratom 7 Wat Tat Thong School students and Pratom 5 Kasetsart Demonstration School students who had studied English for 3 years. All tests were administered in the same way. Item analyses were performed and indices of item difficulty and item discrimination were derived. Means, standard deviations, standard errors of means, reliabilities, and standard errors of measurement were calculated for each test. Pearson Product-Moment Correlations were calculated to determine the equivalence of the parallel forms. Z-ratios were calculated to determine the differences between means of the two forms. Good items were selected from each pair of pretest on the basis of item difficulty and discrimination, and combined into a single form. The resultant English vocabulary tests were post tested with the population of 1086 in Khon Khaen. Test and item statistics were computed using program ITANAL on an IBM 350/145 computer at the Asian Institute of Technology. Statistics computed included indices of item difficulty, item discrimination, means, standard deviations, standard errors of means, reliabilities and standard errors of measurement. Results: Three effective English vocabulary proficiency tests for beginners were produces. Each was composed of 15 items. The major findings from the post test were that the level of item difficulty varied from very easy to rather difficult (0.19-0.93). The discrimination power was in a high level (0.14-0.84). The reliabilities of the tests were surprisingly high (0.84-0.90). Moreover, the test had content validity.
