dc.description.abstractงานวิจัยนี้มิวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการใช้วารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษ ในห้องสมุดคณะแพทย์ศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ในด้านปริมาณการใช้ สาขาวิชา และอายุของวารสารที่มีการใช้ และเพื่อศึกษาวารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษที่มีการใช้ ในห้องสมุดคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น จากการอ้างถึงในบรรณานุกรมมาตรฐาน ผลของการวิจัยปรากฏว่า วารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษที่มีการใช้ ในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวม ข้อมูลช่วงที่ 1 มีจำนวน 180 ชื่อ รวมความถี่ของการใช้ 1,550 ครั้ง และในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ช่วงที่ 2 มีจำนวน 175 ชื่อ รวมความถี่ของการใช้ 1,210 ครั้ง วารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษที่มีการใช้ ในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลช่วงที่ 1 และช่วงที่ 2 รวบกันมีจำนวน 202 ชื่อ รวมความถี่ของการใช้ 2,760 ครั้ง เมื่อพิจารณาตามลักษณะการใช้พบว่า การใช้ภายในห้องสมุดมีความถี่ของการใช้ใน 2 ช่วงของการวิจัยรวมกัน 1,298 ครั้ง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 47.029 มากกว่าการยืมออก การถ่ายสำเนาวารสารและการยืมระหว่างห้องสมุด นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าวารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษที่มีการใช้สูงถึงร้อยละ 80.14 ของจำนวนความถี่ทั้งหมดในช่วงการวิจัยทั้ง 2 ช่วงรวมกัน มีจำนวนถึงร้อยละ 40.41 วารสารที่มีการใช้ 89 ชื่อแรก) ส่วนวารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษที่มีการใช้ทั้งในช่วงการเก็บรวมรวมข้อมูลช่วงที่ 1 และ ช่วงที่ 2 พบว่ามีความสัมพันธ์กันในระดับปานกลาง ประเภทสาขาวิชาของวารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษที่มีการใช้มากที่สุดคือ สาขาวิชาอายุรศาสตร์ และวารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษที่มีการใช้มากที่สุดมีอายุระหว่าง 0-5 ปี หรือ อยู่ในช่วง 6 ปี ในด้านการศึกษารายชื่อวารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษที่มีการใช้จากการอ้างถึงในบรรณานุกรม มาตรฐานพบว่า มีจำนวนถึง 201 ชื่อ เป็นวารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษทางการแพทย์ทั่วไป 14 ชื่อและเฉพาะสาขาวิชา 187 ชื่อ จากวารสารวิชาการภาษาอังกฤษที่มีปริมาณการใช้ และมีการอ้างถึงในบรรณานุกรมมาตรฐาน ห้องสมุดคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น สามารถนำผลที่ได้มาจัดอันดับความสำคัญของรายชื่อวารสาร วิชาการภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อใช้ในการบอกรับ และหยุดบอกรับ ให้สอดคล้องกับงบประมาณของห้องสมุด-
dc.description.abstractalternativeThe purpose of this thesis was to study some aspects of the use of English Language journals in the Faculty of Medicine Library, Khon Kaen University frequency of use, subject fields, publication date of the used journals and citation in standard bibliographies. Research findings revealed that : - (1) In the first period of study, 180 titles were used 1,550 times while 175 titles were used 1,210 times in the second period. Altogether 202 titles were used in both periods 2,760 times. (2) The frequency of internal use was 1,298 times (47-029%) which was more than circulation, photocopying, and interlibrary loan use in both periods. (3) The most used journals in both periods which have frequency 80.14% accounted for 40.41% (the first 89 titles) of the samples. (4) The correlation between journals in the two periods was of medium significance. (5) The subject fields of the most used journals was the Practice of Medicine. (6) The most used journals were those published within the last 6 years. (7) 201 titles of journals used were cited in standard bibliographies, 14 titles in general medicine and 187 titles in specific fields. From studying the frequency of use and citing in standard bibliographies, the Faculty of Medicine Library, Khon Kaen University could use the findings to rank the titles of English language journals in considering the subscription and cancellation according to the finance of the library.-
