dc.description.abstractการวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อหาระยะทางในการอ่านตัวอักษรไทยบนแผ่นป้ายจราจรทางหลวงได้ชัดเจน ในอัตราเร็วรถที่ต่างกัน คือ 70 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง 90 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง และ 110 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง ผลการทดลองสรุปได้ดังนี้ 1. ป้ายที่มีขนาดตัวอักษรสูง 20 เซนติเมตร ที่อัตราเร็ว 70 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง ระยะทางในการอ่านตัวอักษรได้ชัดเจนคือ 88.25 เมตร ที่อัตราเร็ว 90 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง ระยะทางในการอ่านตัวอักษรได้ชัดเจนคือ 81.24 เมตร ที่อัตราเร็ว 110 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง ระยะทางในการอ่านตัวอักษรได้ชัดเจนคือ 71.13 เมตร 2. ป้ายที่มีขนาดตัวอักษรสูง 25 เซนติเมตร ที่อัตราเร็ว 70 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง ระยะทางในการอ่านตัวอักษรได้ชัดเจนคือ 120.32 เมตร ที่อัตราเร็ว 90 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง ระยะทางในการอ่านตัวอักษรได้ชัดเจนคือ 110.26 เมตร ที่อัตราเร็ว 110 กิโลเมตร/ชั่วโมง ระยะทางในการอ่านตัวอักษรได้ชัดเจนคือ 87.88 เมตร 3. ค่าเฉลี่ยของระยะทางในการอ่านตัวอักษรบนแผ่นป้ายจราจรทางหลวง ที่มีขนาดโตจะมีระยะทางในการอ่านไกลกว่าตัวอักษรที่มีขนาดเล็ก และหากเพิ่มอัตราเร็วในการขับขี่สูงขึ้น ระยะทางในการอ่านตัวอักษรจะลดน้อยลง-
dc.description.abstractalternativeThe purpose of this research was to find the distance for reading legibility of Thai characters on highway signs at different driving speeds : 70 , 90 and 110 kilometer per hour. The findings could be summarized as the following : 1. For the characters with 20 centimetres height; at speeds 70 km/h, distance for reading legibility was 88.25 meters : at speeds 90 km/h, distance for reading legibility was 81.24 meters. at speeds 110 km/h, distance for reading legibility was 71.13 meters. 2. For the characters with 25 centimetres height; at speeds 70 km/h, distance for reading legibility was 120.32 meters. at speeds 90 km/h, distance for reading legibility was 110.26 meters. at speeds 110 km/h, distance for reading legibility was 87.88 meters. 3. The Mean of distance for reading legibility of Thai characters showed that bigger characters could be seen at longer distance than the smaller one. In the same time, driving at the higher speed also caused the reading legibility at the shorter distance.-
