dc.description.abstract	วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีจุดประสงค์ที่จะศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ แนวความคิดหลักเรื่องความบริสุทธิ์ ปัจจัยที่ทำลายความบริสุทธิ์ และวิธีการปฏิบัติตนให้บรรลุความบริสุทธิ์ ตามที่ปรากฏในคัมภีร์ธรรมศาสตร์ ผลจากการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า ความบริสุทธิ์คือ สภาพนามธรรม 2 ลักษณะ ลักษณะแรก ความบริสุทธิ์คือ สภาพที่ปราศจากมลทิน ในลักษณะนี้ ความบริสุทธิ์เป็นสภาพนามธรรมที่เกิดขึ้นภายหลังการกำจัดมลทินให้หมดไป ความบริสุทธิ์ในลักษณะที่สอง คือ สภาพที่มนุษย์ได้รับประโยชน์ สภาพดังกล่าวนี้เป็นเงื่อนไขที่คัมภีร์ธรรมศาสตร์กำหนดขึ้นเพื่อผลประโยชน์ของมนุษย์ ความบริสุทธิ์ในคัมภีร์ธรรมศาสตร์ ดังที่กล่าวนี้ มีความสำคัญในฐานะที่เป็นสภาพความพร้อม ที่ต้องจัดให้มีก่อนการประกอบพิธีกรรม ปัจจัยที่ทำลายความบริสุทธิ์ แบ่งออกได้เป็น 2 ประเภทตามลักษณะของความบริสุทธิ์ ปัจจัยประเภทแรก ได้แก่มลทิน มลทินทำให้ความบริสุทธิ์เสื่อมสภาพไป การที่จะทำให้ความบริสุทธิ์กลับคืนมานั้น ต้องกำจัดมลทินที่เกิดขึ้นให้หมดไป ปัจจัยประเภทที่สองได้แก่ เงื่อนไขที่ทำลายผลประโยชน์ของมนุษย์ การรักษาวามบริสุทธิ์ในลักษณะนี้คือ การไม่ประพฤติผิดห้ามที่คัมภีร์ธรรมศาสตร์ได้บัญญัติไว้ วิธีการปฏิบัติตนให้บรรลุความบริสุทธิ์ ต้องกำจัดมลทินที่เกิดขึ้นให้หมดไป วิธีการนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับประเภทของความบริสุทธิ์ มลทิน และเงื่อนไขอื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง
dc.description.abstractalternative	The aim of this thesis is to make an analytical study of the concept of purity, defilements, and purifications as described in Dharmastra The study shows that there are two conditions that constitute the concept of purity. The concept of purity. The first condition is that all defilements must have been eradicated in order that purity may prevail. The second condition is that purity in is meant for the benefit of man. The conditions related to purity in the Dharmastra must be fulfilled before any religious performance cam be undertaken. The researcher classifies these defilement and other detrimental factors into categories, with the result that the fulfiement of purity is again dependent on these various categories of defilements and other relevant factor. It is then necessary that one must be free from these defilements and detrimental factors in order to attain purity.
