A study of learning styles, attitude towards english learning, achieviement and learning experiences of high achieving students : a case study of tenth graders of Chulalongkorn University Demonstration school
The purpose of this study were to 1) survey learning styles , attitude towards English learning and achievement of student , who studied in different learning experiences. 2) compare learning styles , attitude towards English learning and achievement of student , who studied in different learning experiences. The participants were 36 tenth graders of Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School. The research findings were as follows : 1) The top there of mean score in learning styles were Intuitive (M=21.25, SD = 3.78) , Closure-oriented , (M=20.28,SD = 5.32) and Global/Holistic (M=19.58,SD = 4.21) respectively. The top there of mean score in attitude towards English learning were Ambiguity (M=39.00,SD=7.78) ,Risk-Taking) (M=37.34, SD=8.08) and Ego Permeability (M=35.71,SD=9.87) respectively. Mean score of student in English was 88.50. 2) There were no significant differences at .05 level on learning styles (F = .297, Sig. = 0.745) , attitude towards English learning (F = .766, Sig. = 0.468) and English mean score (F = .368, Sig. = 0.695) under different learning experiences.
