dc.description.abstract	การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพทั่วไปของแรงงานไทยที่จะไปทำงานต่างประเทศ ปัญหา ความต้องการการศึกษาและแนวทางการพัฒนาการศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แรงงานไทยจำนวน 411 คน จากบริษัทจัดหางานจำนวน 20 บริษัท เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือแบบสอบถาม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. สภาพทั่วไปของแรงงานไทยที่จะไปทำงานต่างประเทศส่วนใหญ่เป็นชายมีสถานภาพสมรส อายุระหว่าง 26 - 30 ปี ภูมิลำเนามาจากภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือมากที่สุด อาชีพเดิมคือการทำนา มีหนี้สิน กู้เงินจากนายทุนเสียดอกเบี้ยร้อยละ 3.5 - 5 ต่อเดือน จบการศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 - 6 งานที่สมัครไปทำคือคนงานในโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม ต้องการเดินทางไปทำงานที่ประเทศไต้หวัน ด้วยคาดหวังว่าจะได้รับเงินเดือน 15,001 - 20,000 บาทต่อเดือน 2. ด้านสภาพปัญหา พบปัญหาใหญ่ 3 ด้าน คือ 2.1 ปัญหาด้านการมีงานทำ - ปัญหาการสร้างงานชนบท มีไม่เพียงพอ 2.2 ปัญหาด้านการพัฒนาฝีมือแรงงาน – ปัญหาไม่มีวัสดุอุปกรณ์ในการฝึกที่ทันสมัย 2.3 ปัญหาด้านสวัสดิการสังคม – ปัญหาความมั่นคงของงานที่ทำ 3. ความต้องการการศึกษา พบว่า 3.1 การศึกษาด้านความรู้ขั้นพื้นฐาน พบว่า แรงงานต้องการเรียนรู้ภาษาต่างประเทศ เช่น ภาษาอังกฤษ 3.2 การศึกษาด้านการรับข่าวสารข้อมูล พบว่า แรงงานต้องการให้จัดหน่วยให้ความรู้ และ ประชาสัมพันธ์ เคลื่อนที่เกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์แรงงานไทยในต่างประเทศ 3.3 การศึกษาด้านการเพิ่มพูนทักษะทางอาชีพ พบว่า แรงงานต้องการสาขาช่างอะไหล่รถยนต์ 4. แนวทางการพัฒนาการศึกษาที่เสนอแนะโดยแรงงานกลุ่มนี้ ได้แก่ 4.1 การพัฒนาด้านความรู้ขั้นพื้นฐาน – ควรสนับสนุนและให้โอกาสแรงงานได้รับการศึกษา อย่างต่อเนื่อง ตลอดชีวิตทั้งในระบบและนอกระบบการศึกษา 4.2 การพัฒนาด้านการรับข่าวสารข้อมูล - ควรมีระบบการสื่อสารอย่างรวดเร็ว และสม่ำเสมอ เกี่ยวกับแรงงาน 4.3 การพัฒนาด้านการเพิ่มพูนทักษะทางอาชีพ -ควรให้โรงเรียนชุมชนจัดบริการด้านทักษะการ ประกอบอาชีพควบคู่กับการใช้ภาษาต่างประเทศโดยเฉพาะภาษาอังกฤษ	-
dc.description.abstractalternative	The purpose of this research was to examine the general state of Thai labours to work abroad, their problems and educational needs and suggested guidelines for their educational development. Purposive sampling was applied to select 411 Thai labourers from 20 employment agencies sending Thai labours to work abroad in 1997. questionnaire was the only instrument to collect data. The findings were as follows: 1.General Slate: Thai labours who wanted to work abroad were mostly married males, aged ranging from 26-30 years. Most of them were originally farmers from the Northest with unstable income, being in debt with average interest rate of 3.5-5% per month and Pratom 5-6 completion. The majority of them wanted to work as factory workers in Taiwan expecting to earn approximately 15,001- 20,000 baht per month. 2.Three major problems were found as the followings: 2.1 employment: inadequacy of job availability in the rural areas 2.2 skill development: lack of modern materials for training 2.3 social welfare: no job security 3. Educational needs: the labourers needed the followings: 3.1 basic education: foreign language, especially English learning 3.2 information service: a mobile information service providing knowledge and update labour force 3.3 vocational skill: auto spare parts and mechanics 4. Guidelines for educational development suggested by the labourers as the followings: 4.1 basic education: should support them with continuing and lifelong education (formal and nonformal education) 4.2 information service: should provide them with fast and successive information concerning labour force. 4.3 vocational skill: should encourage community schools to provide them with vocational skills and foreign language especially English.	-
