| dc.description.abstract | การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะศึกษาว่า ผู้นำหรือผู้ปกครองมีวิธีการในการรักษาอำนาจ หรือสร้างความชอบธรรม ตลอดจนการหาความสนับสนุนให้กับตนเอง และระบอบการปกกรองของตนได้อย่างไร ด้วยการนำกรอบความคิด "สัญลักษณ์ทางการเมือง" มาวิเคราะห์ปรากฏการณ์ทางการเมืองหรือการกระทำทางการเมืองต่าง ๆ ของผู้นำหรือผู้ปกครองในอีกมิติหนึ่ง ผลการวิจัยพบว่า จอมพล ป. พิบูลสงครามได้ใช้สิ่งที่เรียกว่า "สัญลักษณ์ทางการเมือง" อย่างกว้างขวางและต่อเนื่อง เพื่อสร้างความชอบธรรมให้กับตนเองและระบอบการปกครองใหม่ สัญลักษณ์ทางการเมือง นอกจากทำหน้าที่ตามสาระของตัวเองแล้ว คือสภาพความเป็นสื่อในการถ่ายทอดข่าวสาร ข้อมูล ความคิด คติความเชื่อ หรือการปลุกเร้าอารมณ์ และจิตใจของคน ยังพบว่า การใช้สัญลักษณ์ทางการเมืองเป็นรูปแบบหนึ่งของการต่อสู้ทางการเมืองที่ไม่ใช่การเผชิญหน้ากัน หรือการใช้กำลังรุนแรงโดยตรง แต่เป็นการต่อสู้ "แบบแอบแฝง" ที่มีความละเอียดอ่อน ซึ่งมีผลต่อความรู้สึกและจิตใจของคนด้วยการ "ให้ความหมาย" ของสิ่งต่าง ๆ ในเชิงสัญลักษณ์ ตามวัตถุประสงค์ในทิศทางที่ผู้ใช้ต้องการ เพื่อให้มีความเหมาะสม และสอดคล้องกับบริบทของสังคมและการเมืองในขณะใดขณะหนึ่ง | - |
| dc.description.abstractalternative | The purpose of this thesis is to study how the head of a state or new elite can secure his power or establish legitimacy and seek support for himself and the government. The concept of "political symbol" is used to analyze political phenomena or political acts performed by the head of a state from another point of view. It is found out that Field Marshall P. Pibulsonggram used "political symbol" widely and continuously to establish righteous or legitimacy for himself and the new ruling system. The political symbol, according to its function, is to act as a media to transfer information, idea, dogma or political myth and to arouse emotion. In the sense of politics, it is used as a way to fight back in order to avoid confrontation or physical attack. It is a hidden and delicate weapon in political fight which affects people's sentiment and emotion. It is employed by assigning "meaning" to things in terms of symbols according to the user's objectives to fit social and political situations or context at a certain period of time. | - |
