dc.description.abstract	การเรียนการสอนภาษาฝรั่งเศสในประเทศไทยมีมานานนับได้ประมาณ 100 ปีแล้วโดยที่ผู้เรียนมีพจนานุกรมไทย-ฝรั่งเศสขนาดเล็กย่นย่อเป็นเครื่องมือการศึกษาเพียงหนึ่งเล่มเท่านั้น แม้ปัจจุบันจะมีการเรียนการสอนแปลและล่ามอย่างเป็นระบบเอกเทศและมีศูนย์การแปลอย่างเป็นทางการแล้วก็ตาม การพัฒนาเครื่องมืออย่างพจนานุกรมที่มีภาษาไทยเป็นภาษาต้นทางกลับไม่เจริญตาม ซึ่งอันที่จริงเครื่องมือจะต้องได้รับการพัฒนาก่อนศาสตร์ ดังนั้นจึงควรหันมาสนใจการทำพจนานุกรมที่สมบูรณ์พอที่จะช่วยให้คนไทยสามารถสื่อสารเป็นภาษาต่างประเทศได้สะดวกและมีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น พจนานุกรมฉบับที่กำลังจัดทำอยู่นี้เป็นพจนานุกรมทั่วไปชนิดสองภาษา โดยมีภาษาไทนเป็นภาษาต้นทางและภาษาฝรั่งเศสเป็นภาษาเป้าหมาย ปริมาณศัพท์ทั้งศัพท์หลักและศัพท์รองรวมทั้งสำนวนประมาณสองแสนรายการ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์หลัก สองประการคือ ประการที่หนึ่งให้ผู้ใช้ค้นศัพท์ภาษาไทยเป็นศัพท์ที่เทียบเคียงได้ และประการที่สองให้ผู้ใช้เรียนรู้ศัพท์ภาษาฝรั่งเศสที่ภาษาไทยไม่มีผู้ใช้ในรูปคำศัพท์เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนภาษาฝรั่งเศสไม่ต้องใช้วลีให้อ้อมค้อม ดังนั้นศัพท์ภาษาไทยในพจนานุกรมฉบับนี้จึงเป็นศัพท์ไทยขยายวง ส่วนวิธีการให้ศัพท์ภาษาฝรั่งเศสจะมีบริบทช่วยกำหนดความหมาย และให้ข้อมูลทางไวยากรณ์ระดับหน่วยคำพร้อมทั้งโครงสร้างทางวากยสัมพันธ์ มีตัวอย่างประโยคโดยเฉพาะกรณีที่คาดว่าจะเกิดปัญหาเพื่อให้ผู้ใช้เลือกศัพท์ฝรั่งเศสที่เหมาะกับความหมายและใช้ได้ถูกต้องตามหลักไวยากรณ์ฝรั่งเศส	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	French teaching in Thailand began about 100 years ago. Yet there is still only one abridged Thai- French dictionary. The systematic teaching of translation and interpretation and the establishment of translation centers today has not brought about the development of tools such as Thai-Foreign language dictionaries. It is believed here that such tools must be and that complete dictionaries will lead to better communication in foreign language. This is a general Thai- French dictionary with about 200,000 entries. The purpose of the writer is to provide both a source of words for translation from Thai to French and a source of French words with no Thai equivalent. The writer also supplies meaning and morphological and syntactical information. The example sentences are to help users understand the words in context and know how to use them grammatically.	en
