dc.description.abstract	เดอะแค็ตเชอร์อินเดอะไรย์ นวนิยายชื่อก้องเรื่องแรกของ เจ ดี แซลินเจอร์ นักประพันธ์ชาวอเมริกันมีอายุครบ 50 ปีในปีนี้ เมื่อแรกตีพิมพ์ในปี ค.ศ. 1951 นวนิยายเรื่องนี้สร้างปรากฏการณ์ในวงวรรณกรรม และเป็นที่ประทับใจของนักอ่านโดยเฉพาะวัยรุ่นที่มีความรู้สึกสอดคล้องกับโฮลเตน คอลฟิลด์ ตัวละครเอกที่โหยหาความบริสุทธิ์ในวัยเยาว์ และเหนื่อยหน่ายชิงชังกับความจอมปลอมที่อยู่รอบตัว ตลอดเวลาที่ผ่านมาความนิยมที่ว่านี้มิได้ลดน้อยถอยลงแต่อย่างใด ดังจะเห็นได้จากการที่ผู้อ่านมากมายยังพยายามที่จะค้นหาสิ่งที่อาจจะเป็นคำตอบได้จากหนังสือเล่มนี้อยู่ต่อไป	en
