dc.description.abstract	คัมภีร์โลกัปปทีปกสาร เป็นผลงานของพระเมธังกร มีเนื้อหาแบ่งออกเป็น 8 ปริเฉท ซึ่งแต่ละปริเฉทมีสาระแตกต่างกันแต่มีความสมบูรณ์ในตัวเอง เป็นคัมภีร์ที่ได้รับการยอมรับจากนักปราชญ์ทางพุทธศาสนาทั้งไทยและต่างประเทศ และได้มีผู้ศึกษาวิจัยมาแล้วตั้งแต่ปริเฉทที่ 1 – 7 วิทยานิพนธ์นี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายที่จะตรวจสอบชำระ และศึกษาเชิงวิเคราะห์คัมภีร์โลกัปปทีปกสาร ปริเฉทที่ 8 ซึ่งเป็นปริเฉทสุดท้ายที่มีเนื้อหากล่าวถึงธรรมชาติของมนุษย์และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างมนุษย์และสิ่งแวดล้อม ให้ได้คัมภีร์โลกัปปทีปกสารภาษาบาลีและคำแปลภาษาไทยครบถ้วนสืบต่อจาก 9 ปริเฉทที่มีผู้ศึกษาไปแล้ว รวมทั้งให้ทราบแนวคิดและลีลาการเขียนของพระเมธังกรที่ปรากฏในปริเฉทที่ 8 นี้ ในการตรวจสอบชำระ ผู้วิจัยได้ใช้ต้นฉบับตัวเขียน 7 ฉบับ จารด้วยอักษรขอม 6 ฉบับ และอักษรมอญ 1 ฉบับ ซึ่งต้นฉบับทั้งหมดได้รับการเก็บรักษาไว้ในหอสมุดแห่งชาติกรุงเทพมหานคร นำมาตรวจสอบเปรียบเทียบคำอ่านเพื่อให้ได้ต้นฉบับที่ใกล้เคียงกับที่พระเมธังกรได้รจนาไว้ให้ได้มากที่สุด แล้วจึงแปลและศึกษาเชิงวิเคราะห์ ผลการศึกษาได้พบสาระสำคัญที่สามารถสรุปได้เป็น 3 ประเด็นคือ ด้านการใช้ภาษาและรูปแบบคำประพันธ์ พระเมธังกรใช้ภาษาได้ถูกต้องตามหลักไวยากรณ์ภาษาบาลีโดยทั่วไป แต่มีข้อน่าสังเกตว่า พระเมธังกรมีวิธีการสร้างคำขึ้นใช้เป็นพิเศษเฉพาะตนเอง ซึ่งไม่เป็นไปตามหลักการสร้างคำโดยทั่วไป เช่นคำว่า อญฺญญฺฌํ และในที่อื่นใช้ อญฺฌมญฺฌํ เป็นต้น ส่วนรูปแบบคำประพันธ์พบว่า ผู้แต่งใช้คำประพันธ์ประเภทร้อยกรอง คือฉันท์ทั้งหมด ยกเว้นตอนจบเรื่องซึ่งกล่าวถึงประวัติผู้แต่งใช้เป็นร้อยแก้ว ด้านแหล่งข้อมูลและการเสนอเนื้อหา ปรากฏว่าผู้แต่งได้นำข้อมูลมาจากคัมภีร์พระไตรปิฏก คัมภีร์อรรถกถา เช่น คัมภีร์สุมังคลวิลาสินี เป็นต้น และคัมภีร์ปกรณ์พิเศษอื่นๆ เช่น คัมภีร์มิลินทปัญหา เป็นต้น โดยเสนอเนื้อหาตามหมวดหมู่ของข้อมูลเรียงลำดับจากน้อยไปหามาก ข้อมูลส่วนใดเป็นร้อยกรอง ผู้แต่งคงไว้ตามเดิม ส่วนข้อมูลที่เป็นร้อยแก้ว ผู้แต่งได้นำมาเปลี่ยนแปลงแต่งเป็นร้อยกรอง ด้านแนวคิดที่ได้จากเนื้อหา ปรากฏว่าผู้แต่งได้ให้ความสนใจและกล่าวถึงมนุษย์ในด้านความแตกต่างทางสติปัญญา ด้านพฤติกรรม และด้านความสัมพันธ์กับสังคม นอกจากนี้ยังได้พบคติความเชื่อที่ปรากฏอยู่ 2 ลักษณะคือ ความเชื่อในสิ่งมหัศจรรย์ และความเชื่อเกี่ยวกับธรรมชาติ เช่นฝนตก ฟ้าร้อง และรุ้งกินน้ำ เป็นต้น	-
dc.description.abstractalternative	The Lokappadi ̅pakasa ̅ra, a Pali work by Medhamkara is divided into eight chapters, each with independent contents and complete in itself. The Text is well accepted by scholars of Buddhism both in Thailand and in other countries. Chapters one to seven of this text have been already studied by other researchers. The purpose of the present thesis is to edit and conduct an analytical study of the eighth or the last chapter of the Lokappadi ̅pakasa ̅ra text which deals with the nature of mankind and its relation to the environments. It is expected that the finished work is a good edition of the Pali text of this chapter complete with a Thai translation. In addition, it is hoped that the work will be a contribution to the understanding of the background and the style of writing of the author of this text. The researcher used seven manuscripts in the preparation of the edition. Six manuscripts of these are in Cambodian character while the seventh is in Mon. The manuscripts are now preserved in the National Library of Bangkok. It is the hope of the researcher to be able to reproduce a text approaching the proto-text of Medhamkara as much as possible. After the edition had been read, a Thai translation was prepared and an analytical study followed. The main points can be summed up as follows. The research shows that the author of the Lokappadi ̅pakasa ̅ra writes in the standard Pali which is grammatically correct and is careful in prosodial style. It should be noted, however, that the author employs at times unique phraseology, such as aññaññam instead of the regular aññamaññam. The entire chapter is composed in Chanda meters, with the exception of the colophon which is in prose dealing briefly with the life of the author himself. The author collects his material from the Tipitaka as well as from commentaries, such as Sumamgalavila ̅si ̅ni and other later texts such as Milindapañha ̅ The order of presentation is from shorter to longer sections. Some of the metrical original retained, while prose is rewritten in metrical form. This particular chapter shows that the author pays much attention to the difference of the levels of intellectuality of man, his behavioral patterns and his social standing. The work also deals with human belief in miracles and various matural phenomena such as rainfall, thunder, rainbow and others.	-
