dc.description.abstract	การแสดงผลแผนที่แบบโคโรเพลท โดยการใช้สีเพียงอย่างเดียว จะยังมีปัญหาในการแสดงผลกับข้อมูลที่มีขนาดของโพลิกอนเล็ก แต่มีค่าข้อมูลมาก ซึ่งการแสดงผลแผนที่แบบคาร์โตแกรม จะช่วยแก้ปัญหาในจุดนี้ได้ เพราะว่าคาร์โตแกรมจะเปลี่ยนขอบเขตของพื้นที่ตามค่าพารามิเตอร์ ที่ได้รับมาจากข้อมูลเชิงคุณลักษณะ แต่ปัญหาคือ ในประเทศไทย คนส่วนใหญ่ยังไม่รู้จักและไม่เข้าใจรายละเอียดในวิธีการแสดงผลแผนที่แบบคาร์โตแกรม ดังนั้นผู้วิจัยจึงมีแนวคิดที่จะศึกษาและพัฒนาโปรแกรมประยุกต์ เพื่อการนำเสนอข้อมูลภูมิสารสนเทศแบบคาร์โตแกรม บน ArcGIS 9 เพื่อศึกษาชนิดและรูปแบบ รวมทั้งความเหมาะสมในการนำเสนอ ข้อมูลแบบต่างๆ จากการศึกษาพบว่า คาร์โตแกรมนิยมใช้กันอยู่ 4 แบบ คือ Feature shape cartogram, Circular cartogram, Rectangular cartogram และ Diffusion base cartogram ดังนั้น ผู้วิจัยจึงพัฒนาโปรแกรมให้สามารถสร้างคาร์โตแกรมได้ทั้ง 4 แบบ และมีการประเมินผลจาก การอบรมการใช้งานและทดสอบโปรแกรมจาก สำนักงานคณะกรรมการอ้อยและน้ำตาลทราย กระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม มีผู้เข้าร่วมการอบรมจำนวน 10 คน ซึ่งมีพื้นฐานในการใช้โปรแกรมระบบสารสนเทศภูมิศาสตร์ ArcGIS Desktop 9 ต่างกัน พบว่า ผู้เข้าร่วมอบรมทั้งหมดมีความเห็นว่า คาร์โตแกรมเป็นเรื่องใหม่ มีความน่าสนใจ และวิธีที่เหมาะสมกับข้อมูลของหน่วยงานมากที่สุดคือวิธี Feature shape cartogram ผู้เข้าร่วมอบรมส่วนใหญ่มีความพึงพอใจในระดับดี ถึง 90% แสดงให้เห็นว่า โปรแกรมสามารถใช้งานได้ง่าย และมีประสิทธิภาพในการนำไปใช้กับข้อมูลจริงของหน่วยงานได้ โปรแกรมประยุกต์ที่พัฒนาขึ้นนี้ สามารถนำมาใช้แสดงผลแผนที่แบบคาร์โตแกรมได้ โดยให้ผลลัพธ์ที่ดึงดูดความสนใจ ทำให้ผู้อ่านเข้าใจความหมายแผนที่ได้ชัดเจน รวดเร็ว และประหยัดเวลาในการอ่านข้อมูลมากยิ่งขึ้น	-
dc.description.abstractalternative	The Choropleth map, use only shaded of color to display on the map, has a problem about displayed with small polygon but contain a huge data. This problem can be solved by cartogram, because cartogram will distort the boundaries of regions so that the size of the distorted regions is according to their attribute. But the problem of cartogram is cartogram isn’t well known in Thailand. A lot of people never see or don’t understand cartogram. Therefore, this research is aimed to study and development of an application for presenting geographic information by cartogram on ArcGIS 9 to learning about types, format and appropriate data of cartogram. The result of this study indicates that cartogram has 4 famous types, Feature shape cartogram, Circular cartogram, Rectangular cartogram, and Diffusionbase cartogram. Therefore, an application on ArcGIS 9 has designed to create all types of cartogram. Assessment by training and testing program at Office of The Cane and Sugar Board (OCSB), Ministry of Industry of Thailand. Training participants, 10, have varied knowledge base about ArcGIS 9. Result is all of participants said cartogram is new and interesting. Feature shape cartogram more appropriate to presented OCSB’s data than other cartogram and 90% of participants gratify with cartogram. It show that the application easy to use and have a potential to use with OCSB’s data. The result from processing of this application able to present a cartogram, advantage is more interesting, quickly and clearly understanding, and saving your time when reading the map.	-
