| Abstract: | วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ มุ่งศึกษาการใช้วัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นภาคเหนือในการสร้างสรรค์นวนิยายของ มาลา คำจันทร์ จำนวน ๙ เรื่อง ได้แก่ เจ้าจันท์ผมหอม นิราศพระธาตุอินทร์แขวน ดงคนดิบ เมืองลับแล ใต้หล้าฟ้าหลั่ง ดาบอุปราช สร้อยสุคันธา ไพรอำพราง นางถ้ำ และ ดาบราชบุตร กลวิธีต่างๆที่ใช้ในการสร้างสรรค์นวนิยาย คือ การสร้างเนื้อเรื่อง การสร้างตัวละคร การนำเสนอแนวคิด การสร้างฉากและบรรยากาศ และ การใช้ภาษา นั้นจะทำให้นวนิยายมีบรรยากาศ ที่แสดงวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นภาคเหนือและมีคุณค่ายิ่งขึ้น ผลการศึกษาพบว่า มาลา คำจันทร์ สร้างสรรค์นวนิยายดังกล่าวข้างต้นขึ้นโดยสอดผสานวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นภาคเหนือเข้าไว้ในส่วนต่างๆของเรื่อง ได้แก่ การสร้างเนื้อเรื่องจากความเชื่อบางประการในท้องถิ่น เช่น ความเชื่อเรื่องดาบศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เรื่องผี เรื่องม้าขี่ นวนิยายบางเรื่องสร้างขึ้นจากวิถีการดำรงชีวิตในการประกอบอาชีพของชาวนาในภาคเหนือ ส่วนบางเรื่องสร้างขึ้นจากตำนานและประวัติศาสตร์ท้องถิ่น ในการสร้างตัวละครให้สอดคล้องกับเนื้อเรื่อง มาลา คำจันทร์ เริ่มต้นด้วย การเรียกชื่อตัวละครด้วยภาษาท้องถิ่น จากนั้นก็สร้างบทบาทตัวละครให้มีวิถีชีวิตความคิดความเชื่อเช่นเดียวกับคนในท้องถิ่น ทั้งตัวละครระดับเจ้านาย ชาวบ้านทั่วไป และ อมนุษย์ ด้วยเหตุที่นวนิยายทั้งหมดเป็นเรื่องราวของคนในภาคเหนือจึงสามารถนำเสนอแนวคิดที่เกี่ยวกับความคิดความเชื่อพื้นฐานของคนภาคเหนือ และแนวคิดที่เป็นภาพสะท้อนของวิถีชีวิตในสังคมภาคเหนือ มาลา คำจันทร์ สร้างฉากและบรรยากาศให้สอดคล้องกับเนื้อเรื่องและตัวละครโดยผสมผสานระหว่างสถานที่จริงและฉากที่สร้างสรรค์ขึ้นในเรื่อง ตลอดจนได้สอดแทรกวิถีชีวิตท้องถิ่น เช่น ประเพณี พิธีกรรม ศิลปกรรมท้องถิ่นเข้าไว้ อย่างกลมกลืน ประการสุดท้าย มาลา คำจันทร์ ใช้ภาษาและสำนวนท้องถิ่นภาคเหนือในบทบรรยาย บทพรรณนา และ บทสนทนา โดยมีลักษณะที่ราบรื่น มีสัมผัสและจังหวะ มีความเปรียบที่น่าสนใจ ตลอดจนสอดแทรกวรรณกรรม บทขับ ข้อมูลคติชนท้องถิ่นไว้เป็นระยะเพื่อสร้างบรรยากาศอีกด้วย การที่มาลา คำจันทร์ สร้างสรรค์นวนิยายโดยอิงอาศัยวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นภาคเหนืออย่างสอดคล้องและเหมาะสมกลมกลืนนั้น ทำให้นวนิยายทุกเรื่องมีความสนุกสนาน ชวนติดตาม อีกทั้งยังชักนำให้ผู้อ่านเข้าไปสู่บรรยากาศของวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นภาคเหนือได้อย่างดี ประกอบกับมาลา คำจันทร์ ได้แสดงศิลปะด้านการใช้ภาษาในการนำเสนอนวนิยายได้อย่างไพเราะ สื่อความหมายได้เด่นชัด เหตุทั้งหมดนี้ทำให้นวนิยายมีเอกภาพ และ สุนทรียภาพ อันช่วยส่งเสริมคุณค่าอย่างสำคัญทำให้ นวนิยายประสบความสำเร็จอย่างงดงาม |
| Other Abstract: | This thesis aims to study the use of northern Thai culture in Mala Khamchan’s nine novels, namely Chao Chan Phom Hom Niras Prathat In Kwaen, Dong Kon Dib, Mueng Lub Lae, Tai Lah Fa Lang, Dab Ooparaj, Soi Sukantha, Prai Amprang, Nang Tham and Dab Rajabutra. Mala Khamchan use northern Thai culture in his plots, characterization, theme, setting and language uses. All these techniques help create the atmosphere of northern Thai culture in the novels enhancing the literary values of his works. It is found that Mala Khamchan creates these novels by inserting the northern Thai culture into various parts of the story, such as creating the plot from beliefs found in the region, for example, the belief of holy sword, the belief of ghost or the belief of shaman. Some novels originate from the way of living of northern people while some originate from local legend or history. In characterization, Mala Khamchan starts from giving local northern name to each character. Moreover each character; upper class characters, ordinary villagers or non-human being characters, follow the belief, thought and way of life of northern people. Since all the novels concern with the life of northern people, Mala Khamchan, thus, presents the viewpoint of general belief of northern people, reflecting the way of life in northern Thai society. Mala Khamchan creates scenes and atmosphere harmonizing with plots and characters by mixing the existing places with the invented scenes in the novels as well as harmoniously inserting the local lifestyle such as culture, rites, and local art works into the novels. Lastly, Mala Khamchan uses northern dialect and idiom in the narration, description, and conversation. He also frequently inserts interesting metaphors, literature, folk poetry, folk wisdoms, in order to create northern atmosphere in the novels. The harmonious use of northern Thai culture in the novel writing of Mala Khamchan made all his novels enjoyable and interesting, leading the reader into the charming atmosphere of northern Thai culture. Mala Khamchan beautifully presents the meaning of his novels through the art of language use and thus renders unique and beauty to his works. |
