| dc.description.abstract | วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบปัจจัยสำคัญที่มีอิทธิพลต่อกระบวนการตัดสินใจของผู้ใช้สิทธิเลือกตั้งของคนสงขลาและคนตากที่เลือกผู้สมัครจากพรรคประชาธิปัตย์เป็นเวลาต่อเนื่องหลายการเลือกตั้งที่ผ่านมา และเพื่อนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาเปรียบเทียบกลไก ยุทธศาสตร์ของพรรคและของผู้สมัครในการสร้างความผูกพันพรรคการเมืองในจังหวัดสงขลาและจังหวัดตาก วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ใช้การศึกษาด้วยวิธีการวิจัยภาคสนามและการศึกษาวิเคราะห์ ซึ่งมีเครื่องมือในการวิจัยอันประกอบไปด้วย แบบสอบถามและการสัมภาษณ์ มีกลุ่มตัวอย่างวิจัยเป็นผู้ลงคะแนนเสียงเลือกตั้งให้กับพรรคประชาธิปัตย์และผู้สมัครของพรรคประชาธิปัตย์ทุกครั้งที่มีการเลือกตั้งรวมทั้งในการเลือกตั้งทั่วไปเมื่อวันที่ 3 กรกฎาคม 2554 ในเขตอำเภอเมืองจังหวัดสงขลาและอำเภอเมืองจังหวัดตากจังหวัดละ 100 คน รวม 200 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ความผูกพันพรรคประชาธิปัตย์ในจังหวัดสงขลาไม่ได้เกิดจากการสร้างฐานคะแนนเสียงอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพของพรรค แต่เกิดจากมุมมองและแบบแผนทางการเมืองที่พบได้ในคนใต้ทั่วไป โดยเฉพาะความนิยมอดีตหัวหน้าพรรคนายชวน หลีกภัย นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่ากระบวนการกล่อมเกลาทางการเมืองจากครอบครัวและสังคมคนใต้มีอิทธิพลอย่างมากต่อการเลือกพรรคประชาธิปัตย์ ในขณะที่ความผูกพันพรรคประชาธิปัตย์ในจังหวั ตากเกิดจากความนิยมในตัวผู้สมัครในการดูแลช่วยเหลือประชาชนในพื้นที่ และคุณสมบัติส่วนบุคคลของผู้สมัครรับเลือกตั้งที่เข้ามามีอิทธิพลอย่างสำคัญต่อความผูกพันและการตัดสินใจลงคะแนนเสียงเลือกตั้งให้พรรคประชาธิปัตย์ จะเห็นได้ว่าความผูกพันพรรคประชาธิปัตย์ของทั้งสองจังหวัดมีปัจจัยที่เป็นสาเหตุแตกต่างกัน แต่พบว่าในทั้งสองจังหวัดพรรคประชาธิปัตย์ไม่ได้มีการสร้างกลไกของพรรค เช่น สาขาพรรค เพื่อวางรากฐานการสนับสนุนและสร้างฐานคะแนนเสียงอย่างยั่งยืน | en |
| dc.description.abstractalternative | There are two main objectives of this thesis. First, is to explore factors that influence electors’ decision in Songkhla and Tak provinces where the Democrat Party continuously had a winning streak for many elections. And second, to compare strategies, tactics, and approaches, employed by the Democrat Party and its candidates in establishing strong voting bases in the two provinces located in different region of Thailand. The sample population of this study is 200 electors from Amphur Muang of Songkhla and Tak Provinces (100 from each province) who usually voted for Democrat Party and its candidates, and in general election on July 3, 2011. The study utilizes survey and field research and descriptive methods by conducting questionnaire surveys and in-dept interviews. The finding suggests that party identification of the Democrat Party in Songkhla does not derive from the party’s effectiveness in building its voting bases, but instead, is a result of political perception and pattern of behavior of the Southern people, especially the appreciation toward Mr. Chuan Leekpai, a former Prime Minister. Moreover, political socialization, influenced by family and social interface, is found to be a strong factor generating political identification in Songkhla. Meanwhile, the study reveals that the party identification in Tak results from the popularity of its candidate, based basically on the perception of candidate’s individual cardinal virtue, and from the candidate’s ability in handling the voter’s needs. A notable detection is that in both provinces, the Democrat Party has never set up party’s machine and mechanism, such as party branches, in establishing effective, reliable, and sustainable voting bases. | en |
