dc.description.abstract	การวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาฤทธิ์ในการลดระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดของน้ำยาสกัดรากหญ้าคาในกระต่ายภาวะปกติ และกระต่ายภาวะเบาหวานเปรียบเทียบกับกลุ่มควบคุมที่ได้รับน้ำกลั่นและกลุ่มที่ได้รับยาคลอร์โปรปาไมด์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่าน้ำยาสกัดรากหญ้าคาขนาด 10 กรัม/กิโลกรัมน้ำหนักตัว มีสรรพคุณสามารถลดระดับน้ำตาลในเลือดได้ทั้งในกระต่ายภาวะปกติ และกระต่ายภาวะเบาหวานได้ดีกว่าขนาด 5 กรัม/กิโลกรัมน้ำหนักตัว และขนาด 15 กรัม/กิโลกรัมน้ำหนักตัว โดยน้ำยาสกัดรากหญ้าคา 10 กรัม/กิโลกรัม น้ำหนักตัว มีประสิทธิภาพลดน้ำตาลในเลือดของกระต่ายภาวะปกติ และกระต่ายภาวะเบาหวานได้สูงสุด คิดเป็นร้อยละ 49 และ 40 ตามลำดับ เมื่อเทียบกับกระต่ายที่ได้รับยาคลอร์โปรปาไมด์	-
dc.description.abstractalternative	Hypoglycemic action of Imperata cylindrical root extracts in normal healthy rabbits and diabetic rabbits was investigated with distilled water treated rabbits and chlorpropamide treated rabbits. The results indicated that water extracts of Imperata cylindrical root 10 gms/kilogram body weight could reduce blood sugar in both normal healthy rabbits and diabetic rabbits better than water extracts of Imperata cylindrical root 5 and 15 gms/kilogram body weight. The highest hypoglycemic efficiency of Imperata cylindrical root extracts 10 gms/kilogram body weight in normal healthy rabbits and diabetic rabbits are 49% and 40% of chlorpropamide treated rabbits respectively.	-
