dc.description.abstractในการจัดทำเอกสารด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์นั้น สามารถจัดทำได้โดยซอฟท์แวร์หลายชนิดไค้แก่บรรณาธิกรณ์ข้อความ (Text Editor) ชุดคำสั่งประมวลคำ (Word Processor) ตัวจัดพิมพ์แบบตั้งโต๊ะ(Desktop Publishing) เป็นต้น ซอฟท์แวร์เหล่านี้ส่วนใหญ่จะใช้กับภาษาไทยไม่ไค้ หรือได้ไม่ดีนัก เนื่องจากไม่ได้ออกแบบมาเพี่อใช้กับภาษาไทย ส่วนซอฟท์แวร์ที่ออกแบบมาเพี่อใช้กับภาษาไทยก็มีอยู่ไม่มากนัก และที่พัฒนาออกมาเพี่อให้เป็นประโยชน์ต่อสาธารณะก็ยิ่งมีอยู่น้อยมาก สำหรับซอฟท์แวร์ภาษาไทยที่มีอยู่ในปัจจุบัน ส่วนใหญ่เป็นซอฟท์แวร์ประเภทชุดคำสั่งประมวลคำซึ่งจะมีลักษณะสำคัญที่แตกต่างจากซอฟท์แวร์ประเภท ตัวจัดพิมพ์แบบตั้งโต๊ะ ดังนี้ 1. ตัวอักษรเป็นแบบความกว้างคงที่ 2. ไม่สามารถสร้างองค์ประกอบทางกราฟิกบางอย่างไค้ เช่น การลากเส้นตรง การวาดสี่เหลี่ยม เป็นต้น 3. ไม่สามารถนำรูปมาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของเอกสารไค้ 4. กำหนดรูปแบบของย่อหน้า (ได้แก่ ขอบซ้าย ขอบขวา ตำแหน่งย่อหน้า ชนิดและขนาดของตัว อักษรในย่อหน้า เป็นต้น) ผู้วิจัยได้ทำการวิจัยบนเครื่อง IBM PC ซึ่งมีหน่วยความจำหลักอย่างน้อย 640 กิโลไบต์ มีหน่วยขับจานแม่เหล็ก 2 หน่วย มีจอภาพสีเดียว (Monochrome) ซึ่งใช้ตัวควบคุม Hercules และมีเครื่องพิมพ์แบบจุด (Dot matrix) 1 เครื่อง โดยพัฒนาซอฟท์แวร์ประเภทตัวจัดพิมพ์แบบตั้งโต๊ะโดยให้มีคุณสมบัติดังนี้ 1. สามารถสร้างและแก้ไขข้อความต่างๆ ได้ในลักษณะของโปรแกรมประมวลคำ 2. มีคุณสมบัติไม่ขึ้นกับอุปกรณ์ (Device Independent) 3. สามารถนำภาพ สามารถวาดเส้น สี่เหลี่ยม วงกลม วงรี ลงในเอกสารไค้ 4. การแสดงผลที่จอภาพและที่เครื่องพิมพ์จะเหมือนกันทุกประการ (WYSIWYG) อันได้แก่ ก. สีที่แสดงผลบนจอภาพจะเป็นตัวอักษรดำพื้นขาวเหมือนผลการพิมพ์บนกระดาษ ข. ตัวอักษรที่แสดงผลเป็นแบบความกว้างไม่คงที่ทั้งในการแสดงผลบนจอภาพและในการพิมพ์บนกระดาษ ค. ภาพที่เห็นบนจอภาพจะมีสัดส่วนเดียวกับในการพิมพ์บนกระดาษ 5. สามารถแสดงผลแบบขยายไค้บนจอภาพ และมีบรรทัดช่วยการวัดความยาวบนจอภาพ 6. มีโปรแกรมสำหรับออกแบบอักษร และออกแบบภาพประกอบ 7. สามารถกำหนดคุณสมบัติของย่อหน้าได้หลายแบบ 8. มีความสามารถในการตัดพยางค์ไทย-
dc.description.abstractalternativeComputer document preparation can be easily handled by a various type of soft wares such as text editor, word processor, desktop publishing. But few software support Thai language and are publish domain. Nowadays, Thai document preparation software are word processor that are lack of desktop publishing capabilities such as: 1. Do not use proportional spacing. 2. Do not support any graphic element such as line, rectangle, etc. 3. Cannot draw any picture in a document. 4. Do not support various type of writing style (leftmargin, rightmargin, ident, font, size, alignment and others) This thesis attempt to develop Thai desktop publishing that can be used on IBM PC compatible, 640 KByte memory, 2 Floppy disk drives, Monochrome CRT with Hercules card and dot-matrix printer. The features are the following: 1. Standard word processor. 2. Device independent software. 3. Graphic element can be added. 4. WYSIWYG concept is implemented, such as: A. Black foreground on white background both on screen and printer. B. Proportional spacing font both on screen and on printer. C. Picture has same color and scale both on screen and on printer. 5. Display window is scalable and ruler is implemented. 6. Picture editor and font editor are implemented. 7. Various writing style are supported. 8. Thai syllable separation is implemented.-
