dc.description.abstractThe novel bisamide alkaloid, N-[4-(1-oxo-3-phenyl-2-propenyl) aminobutyl]-3-methyl-3-pyrrolin-2-one was isolated from the leaves of Aglaia rubiginosa (Hiern) Pannell family Meliaceae. The structure was elucidated through extensive analyses of its IR, Ms, 1H, 13C NMR spectral data, especially 1-D and 2-D NMR, as well as comparison with those values of known related compounds.
