| Abstract: | การศึกษาประสิทธิภาพการกันแดดของสารสกัดจากวุ้นของว่านหางจระเข้ ในอาสาสมัคร 40 ราย สีผิวชนิดที่ 3-4 อายุ 20-35 ปี โดยการฉายแสงอุลตราไวโอเลตบี ในบริเวณที่ทาสารดังกล่าวเปรียบเทียบกับบริเวณที่ทาครีมกันแดดมาตรฐาน (5% พาราอะมิโนเบนโซอิคแอซิด), บริเวณที่ทาวุ้นสดจากใบว่านและบริเวณที่ทายาเปรียบเทียบ (ครีมเบส) ใช้ระยะเวลาที่ทำให้ผิวหนังอักเสบแดงน้อยที่สุด โดยเห็นขอบชัด 4 ด้าน (Minimum Erythema Dose) เป็นตัววัด พบว่าสารสกัดจากวุ้นของใบว่านหางจระเข้ไม่สามารถกันแดดได้เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับยากันแดดมาตรฐาน ซึ่งสามารถกันแดดได้ 4-6 เท่าของยาเปรียบเทียบ และสารสกัดจากวุ้นของใบหางจระเข้นี้ มีประสิทธิภาพเกี่ยวกับเรื่องกันแดดไม่แตกต่างจากวุ้นสดจากใบ และยาเปรียบเทียบ |
| Other Abstract: | This research was designed to study sunscreen efficacy of aloe vera gel-extract; in 40 volunteers, skin type III-IV, age 20-35 years, comparing with standard sunscreen (5% para-aminobenzoic acid cream), crude aloe vera gel and cream base. Using Ultraviotet B-light source as a source of energy representing sunburn radiation, we measured Minimum Erythema Dose (MED) of Ultraviolet B for the parameter of sunscreen efficacy. The result is that aloe vera gel-extract can minimally screen sunburn radiation, whereas 5% para-aminobenzoic acid cream can protect it with a Sun Protection Factor about 4-6 times of cream base comparatively. However, aloe vera gel extract is the same as crude aloe vera gel and cream base in their sunsereen efficacy, without any side effect. |
