| Abstract: | วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มุ่งศึกษา ขบวนการเสรีไทยในฐานะที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของความขัดแย้งและการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางการเมืองภายในประเทศไทย การปรากฏตัวของขบวนการเสรีไทยในระหว่างสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 มีแรงผลักดันมาจากปัญหาการเมืองภายในประเทศไทยเองด้วย และการเคลื่อนไหวของขบวนการเสรีไทยก็มีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับปัญหาการเมืองภายในนั้น ประเด็นนี้เป็นแง่มุมที่ยังมิได้มีการแตะต้องศึกษามาก่อนโดยนักวิชาการอื่น ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่มักเน้นการศึกษาเรื่องขบวนการเสรีไทยในรูปของขบวนการต่อต้านญี่ปุ่น ผลของการศึกษาพบว่า การเคลื่อนไหวของขบวนการเสรีไทยมิใช่เป็นเพียงขบวนการต่อต้านญี่ปุ่นดังที่มักเน้นกันมาเท่านั้น หากแต่ยังเป็นผลสะท้อนของความขัดแย้งและการต่อสู้ทางการเมือง ทั้งระหว่างพวกนิยมเจ้ากับคณะราษฎรและระหว่างฝายจอมพลป.พิบูลสงครามผู้นำทหารบกกับฝ่ายนายปรีดี พนมยงค์ผู้นำพลเรือน จนกระทั่งอำนาจของฝ่ายนายปรีดี พนมยงค์ถูกทำลายและสลายลงเมื่อพ.ศ. 2492 |
| Other Abstract: | This thesis aims at understanding the Free Thai Movement (Seri Thai Movement) as part of the internal political change and conflict of the country. The appearance of the Free Thai Movement during the 2nd World War was determined by Thai political conflict at that time and the movement was related to the internal politics. This point has hardly been studied by other scholars who usually have explained the Free Thai Movement in the form of anti-Japanese movement alone. The study reveals that the movement was a response to the Thai political conflict and dispute among the royalists and the People’s Party and between the Pibul’s faction and the Pridi’s faction. This resulted to the fall of Pridi’s political role in 1949. |
