| Abstract: | วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสิ่งพิมพ์ต้องห้ามทางการเมืองภาษาไทย กับสภาพทางการเมืองและสังคมไทย จำนวน 21 ชิ้น ในช่วง พ.ศ. 2520-2523 ซึ่งเป็นช่วงเวลาที่สับสนไม่เป็นระเบียบ มีการแบ่งขั้วอำนาจเป็นฝ่ายซ้ายและขวาอย่างชัดเจน รัฐบาลมีนโยบายอนุรักษ์นิยมสูง และฝ่ายซ้ายซึ่งเป็นฝ่ายตรงกันข้ามก็กำลังแสวงหาการสนับสนุนทางการเมือง ทั้งนี้เพื่อนำไปสู่ข้อสรุปตามที่ Janet Wolff และ Raymond Williams ที่ได้เสนอแนวคิดไว้ว่า เมื่อการนำเสนอของนักเขียนไม่สอดคล้องกับนโยบายของรัฐ ผลงานนั้นก็เป็นสิ่งพิมพ์ต้องห้าม วิธีการดำเนินงานวิจัยครั้งนี้ ผู้วิจัยได้ศึกษาสิ่งพิมพ์ต้องห้ามที่ปรากฎในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ตั้งแต่เริ่มทำการเปลี่ยนแปลงการปกครองตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2475-2523 และวิเคราะห์จากสิ่งพิมพ์ต้องห้ามจำนวน 21 ชิ้น ในช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2520-2523 ตลอดจนสภาพทางการเมืองและสังคมไทย พร้อมทั้งวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ของสิ่งพิมพ์ต้องห้ามทางการเมืองกับสภาพสังคมไทยในช่วงเวลาดังกล่าว พบว่าในช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2475-2523 มีสิ่งพิมพ์ต้องห้ามทั้งหมด 983 ชิ้น จัดเป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวข้องกับความมั่นคงของชาติมากถึง 881 ชิ้น รองลงมาได้แก่เรื่องที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการดำรงอยู่ของศาสนาพุทธ 101 ชิ้น และการดำรงอยู่ของสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ 1 ชิ้น ส่วนผลการวิจัยในช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2520-2523 พบว่าแนวคิดที่ปรากฎในสิ่งพิมพ์ต้องห้ามสามารถแยกออกเป็น 4 ลักษณะคือ 1. สนับสนุนและเผยแพร่ความคิดแบบสังคมนิยม 2. โจมตีรัฐบาลทั้งด้านนโยบายและการปฏิวัติ 3. แจกแจงข้อมูลทางประวัติศาสตร์เกี่ยวกับความพยายามก่อการกบฎเป็นครั้งแรก 4. โจมตีสหรัฐอเมริกา ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสิ่งพิมพ์ต้องห้ามกับสภาพการเมืองและสังคมไทยในช่วงนั้นเป็นไปอย่างใกล้ชิด ในลักษณะที่รัฐเข้าควบคุมเพื่อป้องกันและปรามข้อเสนอที่ขัดแย้งกับรับรัฐบาล โดยมีเหตุผลคือไม่ต้องการให้แนวคิดของฝ่ายซ้ายเจริญเติบโตจนเป็นอันตรายต่อความมั่นคงของประเทศชาติ ซึ่งในสมัยนั้นสิ่งพิมพ์เหล่านี้ย่อมถือได้ว่าเป็นสิ่งพิมพ์ต้องห้ามเนื่องจากไม่สนองเจตนารมณ์ของรัฐ เป็นการสอดคล้องกับบทสรุปของ Janet Wolff และ Raymond Williams ที่ได้เสนอไว้ |
| Other Abstract: | The purpose of this thesis is to study the relationship between Thai subversive literature and the political and social situation during the period of 1977-1980. Twenty-one publications during that period and considered representative of this period of conflict between conservatism and socialism. Power was in the hands of the conservative government whilst the socialists were formally seeking political support. The conclusions of this thesis support the statement made by Janet Wolff and Raymond Williams that whenever the authors’ presentation or thinking is not in line with the government’s policies, it is prohibited. This research was carried out by studying the subversive literature which has appeared in the government gazette since the beginning of the period of Constitutional Monarchy, i.e. from 1932-1980. During that period 983 publications were deemed subversive. It was found that 881 publications involved national security, 101 were considered threatening to the national religion and one was threatening to the monarchy. Specifically, 21 subversive publications from 1977-1980 can be categorized as follows: 1. socialist propaganda. 2. attacks on governmental policies and measures. 3. the release of background information concerning the first rebellion in the country. 4. attacks on America. In the context of the influence of Thai politics and society on the literature, it was found that the literature which did not positively support the policies were strictly dealt with for reasons of national security. This phenomenon complies with the concept stated by Janet Wolff and Raymond Williams. |
