| Abstract: | วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้เป็นการศึกษาทฤษฎีความยุติธรรมของจอห์น รอลส์ ในประเด็นปัญหาเกี่ยวกับความเท่าเทียมกันในสังคม โดยในตอนแรกจะอธิบายถึงความหมายของความเท่าเทียมกันโดยทั่วไปและที่เกี่ยวข้องกับความยุติธรรมของสังคม บทต่อไปจะเป็นการอธิบายทฤษฎีความยุติธรรมของ จอห์น รอลส์โดยสังเขป ในเรื่องเกี่ยวกับขอบเขตของความยุติธรรม, สภาพการเริ่มแรก, ม่านของความไม่รู้, กฎแม็กซิมิน และหลักการทั้ง 2 ข้อ และใน 4 บทสุดท้ายจะเป็นการอธิบายถึงความเท่าเทียมที่มีอยู่ในทฤษฎีความยุติธรรมของรอลส์ ตลอดจนปัญหาของความเท่าเทียมกันที่เกิดขึ้นภายในตัวทฤษฎี เนื่องจากการแบ่งปันผลประโยชน์ทั้งหมดอย่างเท่าเทียมกันในสภาพการเริ่มแรก และปัญหาของความเท่าเทียมกันเมื่อนำมาโต้เถียงกับความคิดของพวกเสรีนิยมฝ่ายขวาที่กล่าวอ้างว่าทฤษฎีความยุติธรรมของจอห์น รอลส์คำนึงคุณค่าของความเท่าเทียมกันมากจนเกินไป จนกระทั่งไปละเมิดสิทธิเสรีภาพส่วนบุคคล |
| Other Abstract: | This thesis intends to study John Rawls’ Theory of Justice, especially on the problem of the equality in society. The first part analyses the idea of equality in general and how it is connected with conceptions of justice in society. The next chapter explains Rawls’ Theory of Justice, focusing on the scope of justice, the original position, the veil of ignorance, the maximin rule, and the two principles. The last four chapters explain the role of the idea of equality in the Rawls’ Theory of Justice, and analyse the problem in the use of this idea in his theory, especially the presumption for equal distribution in the original position. They also argue against the right-wing libertarians who claim that the Rawls’ Theory of Justice places too great an emphasis upon the value of equality at the expense of the individual rights. |
