dc.description.abstractalternative	The article describes science and technology indicators, focusing on their function in research intelligence and R + D management. The indicators for science and technology used in policy making in developed countries are as follows: input, output, impact, performance, research activity, socioeconomics, management and foresight. As for developing countries like Thailand, output is one indicator but it is not always clear. Therefore, grey literature should be considered more. The article then discusses the number of local science and technology and medical publications, and source agencies. It also evaluates the quality of content. The final part discusses the trends of research and development.	en
