dc.description.abstractalternativeWhen referring to King Rama VI, most of the people will positively think of his ingenious talent in literature. Actually, there are other kinds of royal activities which are not widely known to the public, such as agricultural promotion, as will be shown in this article. In his reign, farmers suffered poor farming ensuing from natural calamity and water shortage. King Rama VI thus prompted the Ministry of Agriculture to conduct the facts-finding study on farmers’ problems and problem solutions. “Memorandum for the Improvement of the Deteriorating Farming” was thereupon proposed to King Rama VI on January 31, 1910 of which it is summarized and included in this article.en
