dc.description.abstract	นกยูงไทย (Pavo muticus) เป็นสัตว์ป่าใกล้สูญพันธุ์ (Endangered species) ของไทย ขณะที่ IUCN จัดให้อยู่ในสถานะภาพมีแนวโน้มสูญพันธุ์ (Vulnerable species) ห้วยขาแข้งเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีความสำคัญของนกในประเทศไทย เพราะพบนกที่หายากและถูกคุกคามของไทย เช่นนกยูง นอกจากนั้นยังเป็นผืนป่าต่อเนื่องกันใหญ่ที่สุด และมีประชากรนกยูงมากที่สุดของไทย การศึกษาการแพร่กระจายและความชุกชุมของนกยูงในแม่น้ำห้วยขาแข้งเปรียบเทียบกันระหว่างการศึกษาในเดือนมีนาคม 2549 และเดือนมกราคม 2551 พบว่าการแพร่กระจายของนกยูงในพื้นที่ที่ศึกษาในครั้งหลัง นกยูงแพร่กระจายลงมาทางใต้อีกราวกิโลเมตรครึ่งซึ่งอยู่ในอุทยานแห่งชาติเขื่อนศรีนครินทร์ ที่โคออร์ดิเนทที่ 1646340N และ 0511216E แต่ความชุกชุมของนกยูงทั้งตัวและร่องรอยเพิ่มขึ้นทั้งห้วยทับเสลา ห้วยสองทาง แม่น้ำแม่กลอง และเขื่อนศรีนครินทร์ตอนเหนือ มีค่าเท่ากับ 1.43, 0.90, 1.04, 0.33, และ 5.43, 1.40, 2.80, 1.42 ตัวต่อกิโลเมตรตามลำดับ แต่ในห้วยขาแข้งตั้งแต่หน่วยเก่ากรึงไกรไปถึงปากแม่น้ำมีความชุกชุมลดลงจาก 2.07 เป็น 0.64 ตัวต่อกิโลเมตร ทั้งนี้เนื่องจากสภาพทางกายภาพเปลี่ยนแปลง นอกจากนั้นการรบกวนจากมนุษย์และกิจกรรมต่างๆ มีผลต่อความชุกชุมของนกยูงในพื้นที่ด้วย	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	Green Peafowl (Pavo muticus) is listed as an endangered species of Thailand while IUCN is classified as Vulnerable species. Huai Kha Khang is a bird important area because this area is found threaten birds and also a large forest complex and has the largest continuous population of green peafowl in Thailand. The comparative studies of distribution and abundance of green peafowl between March 2006 and January 2008, the result shows that green peafowl is distributed one and a half kilometer further down south which is in the area of Srinakarin Dam National Park at coordinate of 1646340N and 0511216E. While the abundance from direct observed and the traces are increased at Huai Tup Salao, Huai Song Tang, Mae Klong river, and Srinakarin reservoir which are 1.43, 0.90, 1.04, 0.33, and 5.43, 1.40, 1.98, 0.81 individual per kilometer, respectively. The abundance is changed due to the change of physical habitat of green peafowl and human disturbance as well as human activity.	en
