dc.description.abstract	บทความนี้กล่าวถึงความเป็นมาของภาษารัสเซียและความสำคัญที่มีต่อโลกและต่อประเทศไทย โดยในเบื้องต้นได้กล่าวถึงบทบาทของภาษารัสเซียที่ใช้ในองค์กรระหว่างประเทศต่างๆ และการใช้ในการสื่อสารในประเทศอดีตสหภาพโซเวียต จากนั้นได้กล่าวถึงการกำเนิดของภาษารัสเซียในฐานนะเป็นภาษาในตระกูลอินโดยูโรเปียนว่า เป็นหนึ่งในภาษาสลาฟโบราณที่เป็นรากฐานให้กับภาษาของชนชาติต่างๆ ในยุโรปตะวันออก ซึ่งในปัจจุบันแบ่งเป็น 12 ประเทศ นอกจากนั้นยังกล่าวถึงการสร้างภาษาเขียนภาษารัสเซียโดยนักบวชสองพี่น้องชาวกรีก และชื่อของนักบวชผู้พี่ได้ถูกเรียกเป็นชื่ออักษรว่า “ชีรีลลิค” อีกทั้งได้กล่าวถึงวิวัฒนาการของภาษาเขียนภาษารัสเซียว่ามีการปรับปรุงแก้ไขมาโดยตลอด จนกระทั่งถึงการปฏิบัติสังคมนิยม ค.ศ. 1917 การปรับปรุงภาษาเขียนของภาษารัสเซียจึงได้ปรากฏดังที่ได้เห็นในปัจจุบัน ส่วนสุดท้ายของบทความได้กล่าวถึงความสำคัญของภาษารัสเซียที่มีต่อประเทศไทยซึ่งยังคงขาดแคลนบุคลากรที่รู้ภาษารัสเซียอยู่เป็นจำนวนมาก โดยเฉพาะเมื่อเทียบกับจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวชาวรัสเซียที่เพิ่มขึ้นทุกปีกว่าร้อยละ 80 ซึ่งเป็นโจทย์สำคัญของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาและประเทศไทยที่ต้องเร่งรัดแก้ไข
dc.description.abstractalternative	This article traces the origins and evolution of the Russian language and highlights its importance to the world and Thailand. The article begins with an examination of Russian as used in international organizations and in communication within and among states of the former Soviet Union. Then it explores the origin or Russian as a language in the Indo-European family; that is, as one of the old Slavonic languages that formed the basis for the languages of the peoples in Eastern Europe which is now comprised of 12 countries. In addition, the article mentions the invention of the Russian script by two Greek monks who were brothers. The name of the older brother was used to refer the script as “Cyrillic script”. The development of the Russian script is then examined-to see how it was from then on revised up to the Socialist Revolution in 1917. It is through such revision and improvement that we see the Russian script as it is today. The final part of the article highlights the importance of the Russian language to Thailand. Which still lacks personnel with competency in this language. The number of Thai who know the language is proportionally far behind the number of Russian tourists that now records an 80 per-cent increase. This is an important question form Thailand and its higher educational institutions to urgently solve.
