dc.description.abstract	อปสร เป็น ของวิเศษที่ผุดขึ้นมาจากเกษียรสาคร เมื่อครั้งกวนน้ำทิพย์ในนารายณ์อวตารปางที่ 2 อัปสรเป็นนางน้ำที่มีลักษณะเป็นทิพย์มีความงามและเสน่ห์บาดใจชายอย่างยิ่ง และเป็นสมบัติส่วนกลางของทวยเทพ อัปสรมีอยู่มากแต่ที่มีชื่อเด่น ๆ อยู่ในวรรณคดีสันสกฤต มี 10 ตน เรื่องราวของอัปสรในวรรณคดีเหล่านั้นเป็นที่ประทับใจอย่างยิ่งและความงามอันล้ำเลิศของนางอัปสรก็เป็นปัจจัยให้กวีผลิตผลงานศิลปะที่ทรงคุณค่ามาหลายยุคหลายสมัย	en

In heaven, These water nymphs are ‘the ladies’ for all devas. Ten of the apsaras are well-known in Sanskrit literature. Their stories are impressive and entertaining. Their unsurpassed beauties have inspired great poets from times to times to create invaluable works of art.	en
