dc.description.abstract	มีผู้กล่าวว่า ในกวีนิพนธ์ที่แต่งในช่วงสงครามโลกครั้งที่หนึ่ง มีการแสดงความรู้สึกเกลียดชังสตรี (Misogyny) อย่างเด่นชัด และมักมีการสรุปอย่างง่ายๆ ว่าสาเหตุที่เกิดความรู้สึกเช่นนี้ เป็นเพราะกวีทหารหลายคนเป็นชายที่รักร่วมเพศ การวิเคราะห์บริบททางสังคมและประวัติศาสตร์ของสงครามโลกครั้งที่หนึ่ง ประกอบกับการอ่านงานและศึกษาชีวประวัติของวิลเฟร็ด โอเวน ทำให้เห็นสาเหตุหลายประการที่ทำให้กวีปฏิเสธขนบอัศวิน และมีความรู้สึกเกลียดชังสตรีอย่างลึกซึ้ง	en

However, a study of the social and historical contexts of the Great War in relations to the life and works of Wilfred Owen sheds light on the various factors which cause the poet’s denial of the chivalric tradition and result in his misogyny.	en
