dc.description.abstract	จากการศึกษานวนิยายของกึนเทอร์ กราสส์เรื่อง Katz und Maus และ Hundejahre และนวนิยายของชาติ กอบจิตติเรื่อง จนตรอก คำพิพากษา พันธุ์หมาบ้า หมาเน่าลอยน้ำ และเรื่อง เวลา ผู้วิจัยพบว่าสุนทรียศาสตร์แห่งความพ่ายแพ้ คือ ความจริงและความถูกต้องในสังคมที่ถูกนำเสนอโดยไม่บิดเบือน หรือปกปิดสภาพความพ่ายแพ้ของตัวละคร และความล้มเหลวของสังคมด้วยความงาม นอกจากนี้ สุนทรียศาสตร์แห่งความพ่ายแพ้ที่ปรากฏในนวนิยาย ได้เปลี่ยนแปลงความคิดและรูปแบบมาจากทั้งบทละครโศกนาฏกรรมกรีก และบทละครเอพิคทั้งในเรื่องตัวละครเอก ข้อบกพร่องของตัวละครและตอนจบของเรื่อง	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	This comparative study of the novels of Gunter Grass (Katz und Maus and Hundejahre) and Chat Kopchitti (Chon Trok, Kham Piphaksa, Pan Ma Bah, Ma Nao Loy Nam and Wela) attempts to examine the aesthetics of defeat, i.e., the undistorted artistic presentation of characters’ defeat and society’s tragic failure. The aesthetics of defeat inherent in these works is similar to those in Greek tragedies and epic drama in terms of the stories’ leading characters, their flaws, and the stories’ endings. This study finds that the characters’ defeat and society’s failure in these stories are presented through the use of different perspectives, symbolism, and leitmotifs.	en
