dc.description.abstract	การศึกษาแสวงหาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการค้าเสรีกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสิ่งแวดล้อมโดยวิเคราะห์ผลกระทบของการเปิดเสรีทางการค้าต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงโครงสร้างการผลิต การ ส่งออก และการลงทุนโดยตรงจากต่างประเทศของภาคอุตสาหกรรมและเชื่อมโยงไปถึงการ เปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพมลภาวะของประเทศไทย งานวิจัยใช้ข้อมูลในช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2532 ถึงปี พ.ศ. 2550 ยกเว้นปี พ.ศ. 2539 เนื่องจากข้อมูลขาดหาย และได้แบ่งการวิเคราะห์ออกเป็น 2 ช่วงเวลา ย่อย คือ ช่วงปี พ.ศ.2532 ถึงปี พ.ศ.2538 และช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2540 ถึงปี พ.ศ. 2550 การศึกษาโดยใช้ ข้อมูล Panel data จากผลการศึกษาพบว่า การค้าเสรีก่อให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงโครงสร้างการผลิต การ ส่งออก และการลงทุนโดยตรงจากต่างประเทศในทุกช่วงเวลาย่อย นอกจากนี้ทั้งในช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2532 ถึงปี พ.ศ.2538 โครงสร้างการผลิตของไทยเปลี่ยนแปลงไปโดยผลิตสินค้าที่ก่อให้เกิด มลภาวะที่เป็นพิษและทางน้ำ และโครงสร้างการส่งออกและการลงทุนโดยตรงจากต่างประเทศ เปลี่ยนแปลงไปในทางที่มีการส่งออกและการลงทุนโดยตรงจากต่างประเทศในภาคอุตสาหกรรมที่ ก่อให้เกิดมลภาวะทางน้ำ แสดงให้เห็นว่าการค้าเสรีมีความสัมพันธ์โดยตรงกับความเข้มข้นของ มลภาวะ นั่นคือการเปิดเสรีทางการค้าแม้จะช่วยเพิ่มปริมาณการส่งออกและการลงทุนโดยตรง จากต่างประเทศ แต่ก็มีส่วนส่งผลให้มลภาวะเพิ่มมากขึ้น	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	This study finds the relationship between trade liberalization and environment by analyzing the impact of freer trade on changes of compositions of production, export, and foreign direct investment using panel data across industries and the time period of 1989-2007. The study separates the results in 2 subperiods namely 1989 to 1995 and 1997 to 2007, deleting the year 1996 when data are not available. The results show that production, exports, and foreign direct investment underwent structural changes after trade liberalization. Furthermore, the changes in production structure coincided with an increase in toxic and water pollution and the compositions of exports and foreign direct investment changed, water pollution increased in all subperiods. This implies that although freer trade led to structural changes and growth of production, exports and foreign direct investment, it might have the side effects of increased pollution	en
