dc.description.abstract	การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะสำรวจอุตสาหกรรมการผลิต เครื่องมือกลในประเทศไทย ซึ่งจะนำ ไปสู่การกำหนดแนวทางส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมดังกล่าว ผลการศึกษาพบว่า โรงงานอุตสาหกรรมผลิตเครื่องมือกล จำนวน 13 แห่ง ใน เขตกรุงเทพมหานครและจังหวัดใกล้เคียง โรงงานผู้ผลิตที่ดำเนินการอยู่ในปัจจุบันมีการพัฒนาน้อยมาก มีการบริหารงานแบบครอบครัว ขาดแคลนช่างฝีมือ ไม่มีการจัดการในเรื่องวัสดุ เงินทุนมีอยู่อย่างจำกัด เครื่องจักรที่ใช้ในการผลิตไม่มีประสิทธิภาพพอ เครื่องมือวัดและตรวจสอบไม่มีความเที่ยงตรง ขาดวิศวกรในด้านการออกแบบ ปริมาณ เครื่องมือกลที่ผลิตได้ในประเทศมีปริมาณน้อย เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับปริมาณนำเข้าเครื่องมีอกลที่ผลิตได้ในปัจจุบันมีเทคนิคต่ำกว่าความต้องการของตลาด รัฐบาลควรที่จะมีการเร่งรัดให้มีการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมการผลิตเครื่องมือกลในประเทศอย่างเร่งด่วน เพื่อที่จะไม่ต้องอาศัยการนำเข้าจากต่างประเทศมากเกินไป เครื่องมือกลใช้งานเอนกประสงค์ที่ควรส่งเสริมให้ทำการผลิตคือ เครื่องกลึงทั่วไป เครื่องกัดแบบหัวเข่า เครื่องคว้านและเครื่องเจาะแบบตั้งโต๊ะ แท่นไสเล็ก และ เครื่องเจียระไน สำหรับการส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมการผลิตเครื่องมือกล รัฐบาลควรที่จะกำหนดแนวนโยบายที่แน่นอนสำหรับผู้ลงทุนและให้การสนับสนุนในด้าน 1. การถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยี 2. มาตรฐานเครื่องมือกล 3. นิคมอุตสาหกรรมเครื่องมือกล 4. ส่งเสริมการใช้ภายในประเทศ ฐานข้อมูลสำหรับอุตสาหกรรมการผลิตเครื่องมือกลได้ถูกจัดทำไว้ ซึ่งประกอบด้วยข้อสนเทศของ รายชื่อโรงงานผู้ผลิตและอุตสาหกรรมอื่นที่เกี่ยวข้องโดยสามารถทำการเรียกใช้ได้
dc.description.abstractalternative	The study was conducted to prepare a survey report on machine tool manufacturing industry in Thailand which would lead to the development to promote this industry. It was found that there are 13 machine tool manufacturers which in the metropolitan and boundary areas. Their present development is rather slow. There are generally small and family type of business. Their problems include the lack of qualify technicians and skilled labours, difficulties in acquiring quality materials, limitation of capital fund, insufficient production machinery, the lack of precision testing instrument and qualified engineer. The production of local metal-working machine tool could serve only a small portion of demand. Anyhow, the product has been found to be low quality. The government has to play an important role to promote for the development of local machine tool industry as to be able to produce for import substitution. From the study was found that five catagories of machine tool that should be promoted include simple centre lathe, knee-type milling machine, hand operated and small table-type boring and drilling machine, shaper and bench-type grinding machine. To develop the basic machine tool manufacturing industry, government should have a directive policy for investors and support them by providing the means to : 1. transfer technology 2. Standardize machine tool 3. develop machine tool industrial estate 4. promote local consumption. A database for machine tool industry has been developed and consists the information of local producers and other supporting industries can be retrieved.
