dc.description.abstract	การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) ศึกษานโยบายและวิธีปฏิบัติของหนังสือพิมพ์มติชน ไทยรัฐและผู้จัดการในการรายงานข่าวโพลจากสำนักโพลต่างๆ ได้แก่ สวนดุสิตโพล เอแบคโพล และกรุงเทพโพล 2) ศึกษาทัศนะ ความคาดหวังและความพึงพอใจของผู้จัดทำโพลต่อการรายงานข่าวโพลของหนังสือพิมพ์รายวันภาษาไทย 3) ศึกษาทัศนะ ความคาดหวัง และความพึงพอใจและการใช้ประโยชน์ของผู้อ่านข่าวโพล การศึกษาครั้งนี้เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดย 1) การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาจากหนังสือพิมพ์ทั้ง 3 ชื่อฉบับตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 มกราคม 2542 ถึง 31 ธันวาคม 2542 รวมระยะเวลา 1 ปี 2) การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกลุ่มผู้รับผิดชอบการรายงานข่าวโพล กับกลุ่มผู้รับผิดชอบการทำโพล 3) สำรวจผู้อ่านโพล 6 กลุ่มอาชีพ ได้แก่ นักการเมือง นักธุรกิจ ครู-อาจารย์ ข้าราชการ อาชีพอิสระ และนักศึกษา รวม 150 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) หนังสือพิมพ์แต่ละฉบับคัดเลือกโพลจากความสำคัญและความน่าสนใจของประเด็นและหัวข้อเรื่องที่สำรวจมากกว่าความมีชื่อเสียงของสถาบันที่ทำโพล 2) ความถี่ในการนำเสนอขึ้นกับกระแสของสถานการณ์ในแต่ละช่วง โดยนำเสนอรูปแบบข่าวมากที่สุด 3) ส่วนใหญ่ให้ความสำคัญในการนำเสนอในพื้นที่หน้าในมากที่สุด 4) ประเด็นที่มีการนำเสนอบ่อยที่สุดคือ การเมือง รองลงมาคือ เศรษฐกิจ และวัฒนธรรม ตามลำดับ 5) หนังสือพิมพ์มักนำเสนอผลโพลบางแง่มุมเฉพาะส่วนที่หนังสือพิมพ์ให้ความสำคัญ ขณะที่แหล่งจัดทำโพลต้องการให้หนังสือพิมพ์นำเสนอทุกแง่มุมที่มีการสำรวจ 6) ผู้อ่านพบว่ามีความต้องการให้หนังสือพิมพ์นำเสนอข่าวโพลตรงไปตรงมามากกว่านี้ รองลงมาคือต้องการให้หัวข้อมีความทันสมัย ตรงกระแสสังคม และต้องการให้กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่สำรวจกว้างกว่านี้ 7) ประเด็นที่ผู้อ่านมีความพึงพอใจมากที่สุดคือ การเมือง และประเด็นที่ผู้อ่านพึงพอใจน้อยที่สุดคือ การศึกษา	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	The aims of this study are : 1) to study policies and practices of 3 main newspapers concerned with poll reporting. 2) to study pollsters' degree of expectation and gratification of poll reporting. 3) to study readers' degree of expection and gratification with poll reporting and the use of information gained. This research was conducted content analysis from 3 newspapers by Matichon, Thairath and Manager since 1 January 1999 to 31 December 1999, reporter and pollster depth-interview, and survey with a sample of 150 people selected from 6 groups of people : politicians, businessmen, teachers, government officials, self-employed people, and students. The findings of this research were : 1) poll reports were selected by newspapers according to subjects of the study, not the prestige of the pollsters. 2) the frequency of the release of the study was up to current situation. 3) poll reporting was presented in the style of news reporting using the inside pages. 4) popular subjects were politics, economics, social issues and educational issues respectively. 5) poll reporting was limited to only the points of interest of the newspapers whereas pollsters wanted all studied points to be reported. 6) readers required more accurate poll reporting, subjects of recent controversy, and a wider variety of samples. 7) readers are most gratified with subjects about politics and least gratified with educational subjects.	en
