dc.description.abstract	บทความนี้ได้เสนอภาพของ อ็องเดร ฌีด อีกภาพหนึ่งซึ่งแตกต่างจากภาพของนักเขียนผู้ถูกสังคมร่วมสมัยประณามและโจมตีว่าเป็นเฒ่าหัวงูหลอกลวงเด็ก สิ่งที่ฌีดเสนอแนะแก่ผู้อ่านวัยรุ่นในนวนิยายเรื่อง อาหารทางโลก หรือ Les Nourritures Terrestres ไม่ใช่ข้ออ้างเพื่อมีความสัมพันธ์ในลักษณะเบี่ยงเบนทางเพศ แต่ทำหน้าที่เปลี่ยนแปลงในระบบคุณค่า จุดประกายอำนาจของปัจเจกบุคคลที่มีคุณประโยชน์ต่อสังคมต้นศตวรรษที่ 20 ซึ่งถูกอิทธิพลของชนชั้นกลางที่ฝังลึกอยู่กับจารีตประเพณีอย่างแน่นแฟ้นครอบงำอยู่	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	Andre Gide has ofter been attacked and condemned by contemporary society as a dirty old man who misguides adolescent readers. This paper presents a different view of Gide. What Gide suggests to adolescent readers in his novel Les Nourritures Terrestres is not justification of homosexual relationships but a catalyst to help change traditional values and a way of liberating the individualism suppressed by the middle-class morality.	en
