dc.description.abstractการวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกประเภทสอบร่วมเข้ามหาวิทยาลัยและประเภทคะแนนเยี่ยมของภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ โดยใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่างนักศึกษาจำนวน 286 ตน ที่เข้าศึกษาในชั้นปีที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา2513 ถึงปีการศึกษา 2517 รวม 5 คณะ คือ คณะเกษตรศาสตร์ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ คณะศึกษาศาสตร์ คณะพยาบาลศาสตร์ และคณะวิทยาศาสตร์ โดยแบ่งออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม ตามประเภทการคัดเลือกเข้าศึกษา คือ พวกที่ผ่านการคัดเลือก โดยพิจารณาจากคะแนนร้อยละในการสอบไล่ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่ได้คะแนนสูงสุดจำนวนร้อยละ 5 – 20 คนแรกของจังหวัดทั้ง 16 จังหวัดในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ เป็นประเภทคะแนนเยี่ยมของภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือจำนวน 143 คน กับอีกกลุ่มหนึ่งคือพวกที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกโดยการสอบคัดเลือกร่วมโดยทบวงมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐ จำนวน 143 คนเช่นกัน ทั้งสองกลุ่มมีลักษณะต่าง ๆ คล้ายคลึงกันจากการจับคู่โดยคำนึงถึงสถานภาพส่วนตัวของนักศึกษา ได้แก่ เพศ อายุ แผนกวิชาที่จบชั้นมะยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ปีการศึกษาที่เข้าศึกษา คณะและสาขาวิชาที่เรียน กับสถานภาพด้านครอบครัวได้แก่ภูมิลำเนา และอาชีพของบิดามารดา ซึ่งการจับคู่กลุ่มตัวอย่างนี้เป็นการควบคุมตัวแปรต่าง ยกเว้นความแตกต่างในวิธีการคัดเลือกนักเรียนทั้งสองวิธีดังกล่าว ข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ คะแนนเฉลี่ยสะสมชั้นปีที่ 1 และคะแนนร้อยละชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ทำการทดสอบความแตกต่างของคะแนนร้อยละในชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โดยการทดสอบค่าที (t – Test) และทำการเปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างของผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนักศึกษาด้วยการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนร่วม (Analysis of Covariance with randomized Block Design) โดยจัดกลุ่ม (Blocks) ตามคณะ และใช้คะแนนเฉลี่ยสะสมในชั้นปีที่ 1 เป็นคะแนนผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการศึกษา หรือตัวแปรตาม คะแนนร้อยละชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ซึ่งใช้แทนพื้นความรู้เดิมของนักศึกษาเป็นตัวแปรร่วมของการศึกษานี้ ผลการวิจัย 1. คะแนนเฉลี่ยร้อยละในชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ของนักศึกษาประเภทคะแนนเยี่ยมของภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ และประเภทสอบร่วมเข้ามหาวิทยาลัย แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับ .05 2. นักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นทุกคณะ ที่ผ่านการคัดเลือกประเภทการสอบร่วมเข้ามหาวิทยาลัยและประเภทคะแนนเยี่ยมของภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ มีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับ .05-
dc.description.abstractalternativeThe purpose of this study was to compare the Achievement of Khon-Kaen University students selected by the University Entrance Examination which those the Top-Rank Students in the Northeastern Region. The sample consisted of 286 freshmen students whose entering academic year 1970-1974. One hundred and forty-three students were selected from those those who passed the University Entrance Examination by matching: Sex, age parent’s residence, parent’s occupation, finishing department of M.S. 5, year of entering and Faculty that studying, with another group of one hundred and forty-three students selected from the Top-Rank Students in M.S. 5. The Grade Point Average of First year, the M.S. 5 Scores was taken for background as the covariate. The data were analyzed by means of the Analysis of Covariance with Randomized Block Design. Major findings were that the Top-Rank Students in the Northeastern Region scored significantly higher (.05 level of significance) than those selected by the University Entrance Examination in M, S. 5 achievement scores; but there was no significant difference (0.5 level) in academic achievement of the two groups at Khon-Kaen University.-
