| Abstract: | การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายที่จะศึกษาความสามารถในการรองรับการท่องเที่ยวของจังหวัดภูเก็ตในฐานะที่เป็นเขตเป้าหมายของการท่องเที่ยว รวมทั้งศึกษาแนวทางในการแก้ไขปัญหาทรัพยากรชายฝั่งทะเลของจังหวัดภูเก็ตที่เกี่ยวข้องการท่องเที่ยว ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ทรัพยากรชายฝั่งทะเลซึ่งเป็นสิ่งจูงใจนักท่องเที่ยวในการเดินทางไปจังหวัดภูเก็ตได้ถูกทำลายอย่างมาก สาเหตุที่ก่อให้เกิดปัญหามาจากบุคคล 3 กลุ่ม คือ ความรู้เท่าไม่ถึงการณ์ของชาวประมงหรือชาวเล ผลจากการดำเนินธุรกิจที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการท่องเที่ยวกับการขาดระเบียบของนักท่องเที่ยว และจากการวิเคราะห์พบว่า ปัจจัยสำคัญที่มีอิทธิพลต่ออุปสงค์ในการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวคือ นโยบายสนับสนุนการท่องเที่ยว โดยรัฐบาลควรสนับสนุนการท่องเที่ยวอย่างต่อเนื่องปีเว้นปี ซึ่งจะส่งผลให้มีนักท่องเที่ยวเดินทางไปจังหวัดภูเก็ตในพ.ศ. 2535 และ พ.ศ. 2539 เป็นจำนวน 853,966 คนและ 1,618,866 คน ตามลำดับ และในขณะเดียวกันรัฐบาลต้องเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการรองรับการท่องเที่ยว ทั้งในด้านที่พักอาศัย น้ำใช้ การจัดเก็บมูลฝอย การคมนาคม และบริการต่างๆ ของรัฐควบคู่กันไปด้วย โดยรัฐบาลจะต้องปรับปรุงน้ำประปาให้ผลิตและบริการนักท่องเที่ยวและประชาชนท้องถิ่นที่เพิ่มขึ้นจาก พ.ศ. 2530 เป็นจำนวน 7,649 ลบ.ม./วัน และ 17,041 ลบ.ม./วัน ในพ.ศ. 2535 และ พ.ศ. 2539 ตามลำดับ ในด้านที่พักอาศัยควรเพิ่มห้องพักจำนวน 640 ห้อง และ 8,089 ห้อง ในพ.ศ. 2535 และ พ.ศ. 2539 ตามลำดับ ในด้านการรักษาความปลอดภัย ต้องเพิ่มกำลังตำรวจอีก 127 คน ในพ.ศ. 2539 ส่วนในด้านคมนาคมนั้นต้องเพิ่มเที่ยวบินหรือเที่ยวรถยนต์โดยสารปรับอากาศเพื่อรองรับนักท่องเที่ยวที่เพิ่มขึ้นอีก 421 คน/วัน และ 3,295 คน/วัน ในพ.ศ. 2535 และ พ.ศ. 2539 ตามลำดับ และในด้านการจัดเก็บมูลฝอยที่เพิ่มขึ้นใน ในพ.ศ. 2535 และ พ.ศ. 2539 จะต้องทำการจัดเก็บจำนวน 101 ลบ.ม./วัน และ 223 ลบ.ม./วัน |
| Other Abstract: | The objective of this research is to study the carrying capacity of Phuket as a prime tourist destination. The study covers of problems and the solution to the respective problems for coastal resource management of Phuket area. It can be established that to a large extent the coastal resource which is the main tourist attraction have been deteriorated. The cause of such deterioration come mainly from three groups of people i.e. fishermen, tourist businesses operators and tourists. As far as demand for tourism is concerned the study found out that the most important factor determining the demand for tourism is the tourist promotion. Should the government continuous the support, this would help bringing in additional tourists and the number of tourists visiting Phuket in the future could be 853,966 and 1,618,866 in 1992 and 1996, respectively. Simultaneously on the supply side, the government should raise the tourism carrying capacity in lodging, water supply, waste treatment capability, communication and other related government services. For examples, the local waterworks authority should raise the production capacity of water supply from that of 1987 to 7,649 cubic metre per day in 1992 and 17,041 cubic metre per day by 1996. The number of hotel rooms in 1992 should be increased by 640 and in 1996 by 8,038. The number of policemen should also be increased by 127 men in 1996. In the case of transportation, there should be an increase of 421 seats of airlines or air conditioned bus in 1992 and 3,292 seats per day in 1996. In addition, the waste treatment capability in 1992 and 1996 should be raised by 101 cubic metre per day and 223 cubic metre per day, respectively. |
