dc.description.abstract	ศึกษาถึงการยอมรับความพิการของคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหว และการปรับตัวทางด้านร่างกาย จิตใจและสังคมในการดำรงชีวิตประจำวัน ภายหลังการสูญเสียความสามารถทางการเคลื่อนไหวของคนพิการ รวมถึงศึกษาบทบาทของครอบครัวที่มีผลต่อการปรับตัวทั้ง 3 ด้านของคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหว โดยใช้เทคนิคการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ได้แก่ การวิจัยเชิงเอกสาร การสังเกตการณ์ และการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก เป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากกรณีศึกษาทั้งหมด 20 ราย โดยแบ่งออกเป็นคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหวจำนวน 10 ราย และสมาชิกในครอบครัวของคนพิการจำนวน 10 ราย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ขั้นตอนของการยอมรับความพิการของคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหว แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ระยะ คือ 1) ระยะการรับรู้ เกิดขึ้นเมื่อคนพิการรับรู้ความจริงว่าตนเองต้องสูญเสียความสามารถทางการเคลื่อนไหวไปตลอดชีวิต 2) ระยะการเรียนรู้ เป็นระยะที่คนพิการเริ่มยอมรับกับสภาพความเป็นจริงที่เกิดขึ้น คนพิการจะเรียนรู้ในการปรับตัว และเรียนรู้บทบาทใหม่ในชีวิตของตนเอง และ 3) ระยะการยอมรับ เป็นระยะของการปรับตัวและปรับจิตใจให้ยอมรับกับสภาพของการเป็นคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหว สำหรับการปรับตัวของคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหว แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ด้าน คือ 1) การปรับตัวด้านร่างกาย เป็นเป้าหมายที่สำคัญเพื่อให้คนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหวสามารถใช้ชีวิตในสภาพของความพิการได้สะดวกที่สุด ด้วยการดูแลฟื้นฟูสุขภาพร่างกายให้มีความแข็งแรง และปรับในเรื่องของพื้นที่และสภาพแวดล้อมภายในบ้าน 2) การปรับตัวด้านจิตใจ เป็นการปรับตัวที่สำคัญที่สุดของคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหว เนื่องจากสภาพทางด้านจิตใจนั้นมีผลกระทบต่อทุกด้านในการดำรงชีวิตของคนพิการ และ 3) การปรับด้านสังคม เป็นการปรับตัวของคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหวในการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมร่วมกับผู้อื่น และสามารถใช้ชีวิตในสังคมได้อย่างเป็นปกติ โดยบทบาทของครอบครัวมีผลต่อการยอมรับและการปรับตัวของคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหว ซึ่งคู่สามีภรรยาของคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหวมีบทบาทต่อการยอมรับ และการปรับตัวของคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหวมากกว่าครอบครัวโดยสายเลือด	en_US
dc.description.abstractalternative	To explore stages mobility disabled people have to go through before accepting their disability. It highlighted how they adjust themselves physically, mentally, and socially after they have become disabled and how their family played a role in this process. Qualitative research methodology, namely, documentary research, observation, and in-depth interviews, were employed and utilized in twenty case studies (from 10 disabled informants and 10 family members). The research result showed that these mobility disabled people went through three acceptance stages. First, the perception stage, that is, when a person acknowledges that he/she is being disabled for the rest of his/her lives. Second, the learning stage, that is, when a person learns to adjust to his/her new disability body. Third, the acceptance stage, that is, when a person accepts that he/she needs to interact with others and is able to live happily in the society. This research result also showed the way in which they adjusted themselves physically, mentally, and socially. For example, they tried to be physically fit as much as they can, adjust their living condition in the house to accommodate their disability, lift up their spirit because they are aware that this is related to their physical and mental well-being and their outlook in life, and enhance their life fulfillment by learning to interact with others. In addition, adjusting their mentality was thought to be the most important part in furthering their physical and social adjustment. Last, the research result showed that family, especially their life partners, played a significant role in speeding or slowing the acceptance and adjustment process.	en_US
