dc.description.abstractalternativeThis study aimed to investigate the development of causal relationships model between the variables in terms of entry knowledge, teacher attitude, school environments, problems in student teaching, self-concept, learning achievement, teaching experiences, feedbacks, anxiety, teacher characteristics and teaching competencies of student teachers in teachers’ colleges. The samples were consisted of 203 students from teachers’ colleges in Ratanakosin United College, 1st semester, academic year 1990. The data was analyzed by the method of path analysis. The findings were as follows : 1. The hypothesized model was inconsistent with the empirical data. 2. The three adjusted model was consistent with the empirical data. 3. The characteristics of the proposed relationships model which was consistent with The empirical data were as follows : 3.1 Teacher characteristics and teaching experiences had direct effect on teaching competencies. 3.2 Teacher attitude, self-concept, learning achievement, feedback and anxiety had both direct and indirect effect on teaching competencies. 3.3 Problems in student teaching and entry knowledge had indirect effect on teaching competencies. 3.4 Teaching attitude had the highest total effect (.7228) on teaching competencies, the second was self-concept (.4487) and the least total effect was entry knowledge (.0264).-
