| Abstract: | สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มุ่งศึกษาการแปลบทร้อยกรองจากภาษาต่างประเทศเป็นภาษาไทย ซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้หยิบยกบทร้อยกรองอิสระจากหนังสือเรื่อง Ceremony ของ Leslie Marmon Silko มาเป็นกรณีศึกษา โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาทฤษฎีการแปลและแนวทางการแปลต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง ตลอดจนแนวทางการวิเคราะห์ตัวบทประเภทบทร้อยกรองอิสระซึ่งมีลักษณะเป็นวรรณกรรมมุขปาฐะ ควบคู่ไปกับการศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ วัฒนธรรม ภาษาถิ่นและความเชื่อของชนพื้นเมืองอเมริกันอินเดียน เพื่อให้สามารถแปลส่วนหนึ่งของตัวบทที่คัดสรรจากภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาไทยได้อย่างเหมาะสม สำหรับแนวทางการวิเคราะห์ตัวบท ผู้วิจัยได้เลือกใช้แนวทางการวิจารณ์วรรณกรรมอเมริกันร่วมสมัยผ่านมุมมองวรรณกรรมเชิงนิเวศ ของดารินทร์ ประดิษฐทัศนีย์ เพื่อวิเคราะห์ประเด็นปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงความสัมพันธ์ของมนุษย์และธรรมชาติที่ได้ถ่ายทอดผ่านเนื้อหาและกลวิธีการประพันธ์ นอกเหนือจากนั้น ผู้วิจัยยังได้ใช้ประยุกต์ใช้แนวทางการวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบแปดประการของกวีนิพนธ์ ของจอห์น แมกเร เพื่อวิเคราะห์ลักษณะเฉพาะและรูปแบบการประพันธ์ของบทร้อยกรองแต่ละบท ในส่วนของแนวทางการถ่ายทอดบทร้อยกรองอิสระจากภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาไทย ผู้วิจัยได้เลือกใช้กลวิธีการแปลแบบตีความตามแนวทางการแปลกวีนิพนธ์ของอังเดร เลอเฟอแวร์ ควบคู่ไปกับการประยุกต์ใช้รูปแบบและลักษณะเฉพาะของวรรณกรรมมุขปาฐะที่พบในวัฒนธรรมไทย โดยมีจุดประสงค์ที่จะถ่ายทอดบทร้อยกรองอิสระซึ่งสามารถรักษาความหมายได้อย่างครบถ้วนและสามารถสร้างผลกระทบทางอารมณ์แก่ผู้อ่านได้อย่างทัดเทียมและสอดคล้องกับหน้าที่ของตัวบทต้นฉบับ |
| Other Abstract: | The purpose of this special research is to study and formulate the translation approach for rendering English free verse from Leslie Marmon Silko’s Ceremony into Thai. The objectives of this research include the study and application of translation theories and approaches to free verses in oral literature, and the study of history, culture, language and belief of native Americans for the purpose of translation. The theories and approaches for the analysis of the source text include Darin Pradittatsanee's Analysing American contemporary literature through Ecocriticism, the evaluation of human-nature relation reflected through text and style, and John McRae's Textual Analysis of Poetry which classifies poetic elements for the purpose of understanding and comprehension. The translation part includes Andre Lefevere's interpretation approach in Strategies for Poetry Translation which is employed in conjunction with the analysis of style and characteristics of Thai oral literature. As a result, the translated text can be said to consist of the meaning intended by the author and the artistic form that could render similar sensations to the source text if not the same. |
