| Abstract: | ในปีค.ศ. 1939 Richard von Mises ได้ตั้งคำถามที่น่าสนใจว่า “จะต้องมีกลุ่มคนอย่างน้อยกี่คนจึงจะมีโอกาสที่มีคนอย่างน้อย 2 คนเกิดวันและเดือนเดียวกันอย่างน้อย 50%” จนทำให้เกิดคำถามทั่วไปที่ว่า “ในกลุ่มคน n คน ความน่าจะเป็น ที่จะมีคนอย่างน้อย 2 คนเกิดวันและเดือนเดียวกันเป็นเท่าไร” ซึ่งคำถามดังกล่าวเรียกว่า “ปัญหาวันเกิด” จากนั้น ได้มีนักคณิตศาสตร์หลายท่านขยายปัญหาดังกล่าว โดยหาความน่าจะเป็นที่มีคนอย่างน้อย m คนจากกลุ่มคน n คนเกิดวันและเดือนเดียวกัน โดยที่2 ≤ m ≤ 5 ในโครงงานนี้เราจะขยายปัญหาวันเกิด โดยหาความน่าจะเป็นที่ในกลุ่มคน n คน จะมีคนอย่างน้อย m คนเกิดวัน และเดือนเดียวกัน เมื่อ 2 ≤ m ≤ n และประมาณค่าความน่าจะเป็นที่ได้ด้วยการแจกแจงปัวซง |
| Other Abstract: | In 1939, Richard von Mises raised the interested question “how many people must be gathered before the probability of two people sharing a birthday exceeds 50 %” which leads to a general question “the probability that at least two people in a group of n people will have the same birthday”. The question is called the “Birthday Problem”. Then, many mathematicians generalized the problem to the case of at least m out of n people having the same birthday where 2 ≤ m ≤ 5. In this project, we will investigate the probability of at least m out of n people sharing a birthday where 2 ≤ m ≤ n, and will approximate the probability by Poisson distribution. |
