| Abstract: | การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาวัตถุประสงค์ในการใช้เว็บบอร์ด การรับรู้ความหมายและประสิทธิภาพของเวบบอร์ด รวมทั้งพฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บบอร์ดของผู้ใช้ โดยพิจารณาตามแนวทางการสื่อสารอย่างเป็นประชาธิปไตย วิธีการเก็บข้อมูลใช้การวิจัยโดยแจกแบบสอบถามแก่กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 400 คน และการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 25 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่าวัตถุประสงค์หลักในการใช้งานเว็บบอร์ดของผู้ใช้คือ การใช้เพื่อแสวงหาข้อมูล รองลงมาคือ วัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการสื่อสาร และการใช้เพื่อผ่อนคลาย โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างมีการใช้เว็บบอร์ดเพื่อวัตถุประสงค์ใช้สอยต่างๆ น้อยที่สุด ด้านการรับรู้ต่อเว็บบอร์ดพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีการนิยามเว็บบอร์ดว่าเป็นพื้นที่สื่อสารการแสดงออกตามที่ต้องการสูงที่สุด รองลงมาคือ พื้นที่ติดตามสถานการณ์ข่าวสาร ซึ่งเป็นการรับรู้ต่อเว็บบอร์ดในลักษณะของสื่อใหม่ การรับรู้ในด้านต่อๆ มาเป็นการรับรู้ต่อความหมายของเว็บบอร์ดในการเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีประโยชน์ ในขณะที่การรับรู้ต่อเว็บบอร์ดในอันดับท้ายๆ เป็นการรับรู้ความหมายของเว็บบอร์ดที่เกิดจากปัญหาผู้ใช้ คือ การรับรู้ต่อความหมายของเว็บบอร์ดในการเป็นพื้นที่มั่วสุม นินทา วิพากษ์วิจารณ์ผู้อื่น สร้างความขัดแย้ง สำหรับการประเมินประสิทธิภาพของเว็บบอร์ดในการช่วยจรรโลงสังคมประชาธิปไตยนั้น พบว่ากลุ่มตัวอย่างรับรู้ต่อประสิทธิภาพของสื่อเว็บบอร์ดว่ามีศักยภาพเพียงพอ ส่วนข้อมูลข่าวสารในเว็บบอร์ด กลุ่มตัวอย่างรับรู้ว่ามีประสิทธิภาพมากแต่ไม่ถึงขั้นการนำปใช้ช่วยส่งเสริมสังคมประชาธิปไตย และรับรู้ต่อปัญหาด้านผู้ใช้ว่าอาจเป็นอุปสรรคที่ทำให้เว็บบอร์ดไม่สามารถพัฒนาสังคมประชาธิปไตยได้อย่างเต็มที่ ส่วนพฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บบอร์ด พบว่าผู้ใช้ส่วนใหญ่ประเมินพฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บบอร์ดของตนในด้านบวกซึ่งสอดคล้องกับการสื่อสารอย่างเป็นประชาธิปไตย ในการทดสอบสมมติฐาน 3 ประการ พบว่า ประการแรกวัตถุประสงค์การใช้เว็บบอร์ดมีความสัมพันธ์กับการรับรู้ต่อเว็บบอร์ด โดยผู้ที่ใช้เว็บบอร์ดมีการรับรู้ต่อเว็บบอร์ดตามวัตถุประสงค์การใช้ของตน ประการที่สอง วัตถุประสงค์การใช้เว็บบอร์ดมีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมการสื่อสารอย่างเป็นประชาธิปไตย โดยผู้ที่มีวัตถุประสงค์การใช้เว็บบอร์ดเพื่อแสวงหาข้อมูลและเพื่อการสื่อสารมีพฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บบอร์ดในทางบวก ส่วนผู้ที่มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการผ่อนคลายมีพฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บบอร์ดในทางลบ และประการสุดท้าย การรับรู้ต่อเว็บบอร์ดมีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมการสื่อสารอย่างเป็นประชาธิปไตย โดยหากผู้ใช้รับรู้ต่อเว็บบอร์ดในทางบวกจะมีพฤติกรรมการสื่อสารในทางบวก ส่วนผู้ที่รับรู้ต่อเว็บบอร์กในทางลบจะมีพฤติกรรมการใช้เว็บบอร์ดในทางลบ |
| Other Abstract: | The objectives of this research are to study motivations for webboard using, perceptions of webboard, and users' behaviors within the democratic communication theoretical framework. Data was gathered from survey research conducted by having a sample of 400 to complete self-report questionnaires and in-depth interviews with 25 webboard users. Research shows that the major motivation for webboard using is information seeking, second is communication, and relaxation respectively. Additionally, instrumental utility is the motivation the respondents least mention. In analyzing webboard perceptions, the most respondents perceive webboard as a free will communication space; a space to catch up on the news, which is a perception of a new media. Fewer perceive webboard as a useful space and at the lower ranks of the list are perceptions related with problems from its users, namely perceptions of webboard as a place for malpurpose actions, gossiping, criticizing, and conflict making. As for the webboard efficiency assessment in promoting a democratic society, the individuals think webboard have a sufficient potential. Furthermore, the respondents’ assessment of webboard information suggests that webboard is very effective but not so much to the degree that it can promote a democratic society and the problems from its users is probably an obstacle preventing webboard from promoting such society. Moreover, results concerning the webboard using behaviors indicate that most respondents positively assess their behaviors when using which consistent with the theory of democratic communication. Three hypotheses are tested. First, there is a significant correlation between the motivations and perceptions of webboard; the users perceive webboard in accordance with their motivations. Second, the motivations significantly associate with the democratic behaviors. The respondents who have the motivations for information seeking and communication use webboard in a positive way, while those who have the motivation for relaxation use webboard in a negative way. Finally, the findings support the hypothesis that the webboard perceptions have a significant correlation with the democratic behaviors. The subjects with the positive perceptions have positive democratic behaviors while those who perceive webboard in a negative way have negative democratic behaviors. |
