dc.description.abstractการวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพเทคนิคปีที่ 1 แผนกพณิชยการ ที่อ่านเรื่องโดยไม่มีภาพประกอบ ที่มีภาพเดี่ยวใจความหลักประกอบ และที่มีภาพรวมใจความย่อยประกอบ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการทดลองนี้ เป็นนักศึกษาประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพเทคนิคปีที่ 1 แผนกพณิชยการ ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2528 วิทยาลัยอาชีวศึกษามหาสารคาม จังหวัดมหาสารคามจำนวน 90 คน ใช้แบบทดสอบความสามารถในการอ่านของ เบอร์เนตต์ เพ่อแบ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างออกเป็น 3 กลุ่ม ตามระดับความสามารถในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ คือ กลุ่มสูง กลุ่มกลางและกลุ่มต่ำ กลุ่มละ 30 คน เท่ากันทุกกลุ่ม จากนั้นใช้วิธีสุ่มตัวอย่างอย่างง่าย สุ่มนักศึกษาออกจากทั้ง 3 กลุ่มความสามารถ กลุ่มละ 10 คน เป็นกลุ่มควบคุม 30 คน สุ่มครั้งที่สองเป็นกลุ่มทดลอง ก 30 คน ที่เหลือเป็นกลุ่มทดลอง ข 30 คน ใช้เครื่องมือทดลองกับกลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้ง 3 ดังนี้ คือ กลุ่มควบคุมให้อ่านเรื่องที่ไม่มีภาพประกอบ กลุ่มทดลอง ก ให้อ่านเรื่องที่มีภาพเดี่ยวใจความหลักประกอบ กลุ่มทดลอง ข ให้อ่านเรื่องที่มีภาพรวมใจความย่อยประกอบ เรื่องที่ใช้ทดลองของกลุ่มทุกกลุ่มเป็นเรื่องเดียวกัน จำนวน 4 เรื่อง การวัดความเข้าใจในการอ่านเรื่องแต่ละเรื่อง ใช้แบบทดสอบผลสัมฤทธิ์ความเข้าใจในการอ่านเรื่องละ 10 ข้อ 4 เรื่อง รวม 40 ข้อ การทดลองใช้เวลาทุกกลุ่มเท่ากันคือ กลุ่มละ 60 นาที ข้อมูลที่ได้นำมาวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนแบบ 2 ทาง และทดสอบความแตกต่างระหว่างคู่ โดยวิธีของ เชฟเฟ ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้คือ 1. ความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษา ที่อ่านเรื่องที่ไม่มีภาพประกอบที่มีภาพเดี่ยวใจความหลักประกอบ และที่มีภาพรวมใจความย่อยประกอบ แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 2. นักศึกษากลุ่มที่อ่านเรื่อง ที่มีภาพรวมใจความย่อยประกอบ มีความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษสูงกว่ากลุ่มที่อ่านเรื่องที่ไม่มีภาพประกอบ และที่มีภาพเดี่ยวใจความหลักประกอบต่ำไม่มีความแตกต่างระหว่างนักศึกษา กลุ่มที่อ่านเรื่องไม่มีภาพประกอบ และที่มีภาพเดี่ยวใจความหลัก ทั้งหมดที่ระดับความมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 3. นักศึกษากลุ่มที่มีระดับความสามารถในการอ่านสูง มีความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษสูงกว่า กลุ่มที่มีระดับความสามารถในการอ่านต่ำ แต่ไม่พบความแตกต่างระหว่างกลุ่มที่มีระดับความสามารถในการอ่านสูง กับกลุ่มที่มีระดับความสามารถในการอ่านปานกลาง และระหว่างกลุ่มที่มีระดับความสามารถในการอ่านปานกลาง กับกลุ่มที่มีระดับความสามารถในการอ่านต่ำ ทั้งหมดที่ระดับความมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 4. มีปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างระดับความสามารถในการอ่าน กับระดับความเข้าในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ จากการอ่านเรื่องที่ไม่มีภาพประกอบ และที่มีภาพประกอบที่ระดับความมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05-
dc.description.abstractalternativeThe purpose of this research was to compare the English reading comprehension of first year Technical Vocation Certificate Commercial students using different types of passage-accompanying pictures. Subjects were 90 first year Technical Vocation Certificate Commercial students from Mahasarakam Vocational College in the first semester of the academic year 1985. The subjects were divided into three groups of 30, according to their ability in English reading, by using Burnett’s Reading Test. Then, 10 subjects were randomly sampled from each ability group to form three groups of 30 students used in the experiment : control group, experimental group A, and experimental group B. In the experiment, the subject in each group were exposed to the same sets of four reading passages differed in three conditions : without pictures, with single-main-idea pictures, and with multiple-detailed pictures. A ten-questioned learning achievement test, making a total of 40 questions, was placed after each of the reading passages to test the subject’s reading comprehension. The data obtained from the test were analyzed by means of TW-Way Analysis of Variance, and Scheffe’s Method was employed to test pairwise. The findings of this research were as the followings : 1. The English reading comprehension of the groups reading passages without pictures, with single-main-idea pictures and with multiple-detailed pictures were statistical significantly different at the .05 level. 2. The English reading comprehension of the groups reading passages with multiple-detailed pictures was higher than that of the no-picture group and the single main-idea-pictures group, while there was no different between the no-picture group and the single main-idea-pictures group, all with the statistical significant difference at the .05 level. 3. The group of subjects with high reading ability outperformed the low reading ability group, but there was no difference between the high and the medium, and between the medium and the low reading ability groups, all with the statistical significant difference at the .05 level. 4. There was an interaction between the student’s English reading ability and their comprehension from reading the three different types of passages, with the statistical significant difference at the .05 level.-
