| Abstract: | การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเทคนิค และทักษะทางการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ และหาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเทคนิคและทักษะทางการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ ของนักศึกษากลุ่มช่างอุตสาหกรรม ในวิทยาลัยเทคนิค สังกัดวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีและอาชีวศึกษา ผู้วิจัยสุ่มตัวอย่างประชากรซึ่งเป็นนักศึกษาในกลุ่มช่างกลอุตสาหกรรมได้จำนวน 858 คน จำแนกตามช่างต่างๆ 4 ช่างดังนี้คือ ช่างยนต์จำนวน 254 คน ช่างกลโรงงาน 214 คน ช่างไฟฟ้ากำลัง 196 คน และช่างอิเล็กทรอนิกส์จำนวน 226 คน ซึ่งเรียนอยู่ในชั้นปีที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2528 ในวิทยาลัยเทคนิค 8 แห่ง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ แบบทดสอบความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเทคนิค และแบบทดสอบทักษะทางการเรียน ภาษาอังกฤษที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้นเอง ฉบับละ 70 ข้อ แบบทดสอบทั้ง 2 ฉบับ ได้ผ่านการตรวจสอบ ความถูกต้องทางภาษาและความตรงเชิงเนื้อหาจากผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ 6 ท่าน และผ่านการทดลองใช้ 2 ครั้ง มีค่าความเที่ยงของแบบทดสอบความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเทคนิคและ ทักษะทางการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษเท่ากับ 0.82 และ 0.88 ตามลำดับ ผู้วิจัยได้เก็บรวบรวม ข้อมูลด้วยตนเองแล้วนำข้อมูลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์หาค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิต ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์แบบเพียร์สัน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตคะแนนจากแบบสอบความสามารถในการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเท่ากับ 38.5 และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 11.0 ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตของคะแนนจากแบบสอบถามทักษะทางการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษเท่ากับ 33.0 และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 10.0 จากคะแนนเต็ม 70 คะแนน 2. ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคะแนนความสามารถในการภาษาอังกฤษเทคนิคและคะแนนทักษะทางการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ เท่ากับ 0.91 และมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับ .05 |
| Other Abstract: | The purposes of this research were to study technical English proficiency and study skills in English, and to examine the relationship between technical English proficiency and study skills in English of industrial trade area students in technical colleges under the auspices of the I Institute of Technology and Vocational Education. The samples consisted of 858 industrial trade area students devided into 4 majors which were 254 students from mechanical power technology, 214 students from machine tool technology, 196 students from electrical technology, and 226 students from electronics. They were the second year students in eight technical colleges in 1985 academic year. The research instruments, were the technical English proficiency test and the study skills test constructed by the researcher. Each of the tests consisted of 70 items. Both tests were examined of their language correctness and content validity by six experts and were administered twice in the try out process. The reliability of the technical English proficiency test and study skills test were 0.82 and 0.88 respectively. The data were collected by the researcher and were analyzed by means of arithmetic mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient. The results of the analysis were as follows : 1. The arithmetic mean and the standard deviation of the technical English proficiency test was 38.5 out of 70 and the standard deviation was 11.0 whereas the arithmetic mean of the. study skills test was 33.0 out of 70 and the standard deviation was 10.0. 2. The correlation coefficient between technical English proficiency scores and study skills scores was 0.91 at the .05 level of significance. |
