| Abstract: | วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้เป็นการศึกษาและวิจัยลักษณะและบทบาทของไสยศาสตร์ ในเสภาเรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผนเพื่อให้ทราบลักษณะทั่วไปของไสยศาสตร์ในวรรณคดีเรื่องนี้ เพื่อให้ทราบว่าทวีใช้ไสยศาสตร์เพื่อประโยชน์ในเชิงวรรณคดีอย่างไรบ้าง และเพื่อเปรียบเทียบลักษณะไสยศาสตร์ในเสภาเรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผน กับในวรรณคดีเรื่องอื่น ๆ ที่อยู่ในสมัยใกล้เคียงกัน ผู้วิจัยได้อาศัยเรื่องไสยศาสตร์ในวิชามานุษยวิทยาสำหรับอธิบายลักษณะไสยศาสตร์ในเรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผน ผลของการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า ในเรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผนมีทั้งไสยศาสตร์ขาวและไสยศาสตร์ศาสตร์ดำ และผู้แต่งได้ใช้ไสยศาสตร์เพื่อประโยชน์ในเชิงวรรณคดี 3 เรื่อง คือ สร้างตัวเอก ให้มีลักษณะเป็นพระเอก เพื่อให้เรื่องดำเนินไปอย่างกระชับรัดกุม เพื่อให้เหตุการณ์ในเรื่องสมเหตุผล ผู้วิจัยได้รวบรวมเหตุการณ์ต่าง ๆ ในเรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผนที่มีลักษณะเป็นไสยศาสตร์ทุกเรื่อง เพื่อไว้เป็นข้อมูลสำหรับการวิจัย ในการวิจัยนั้นได้แยกเหตุการณ์ต่าง ๆ ที่มีลักษณะคล้ายคลึงกันออกเป็นพวก ๆ เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะร่วมของเหตุการณ์ต่าง ๆ เหล่านั้น แล้วจึงวิเคราะห์ออกมาเป็นข้อ ๆ ตามที่ปรากฏในวิทยานิพนธ์นี้ ผลของการวิจัยได้เสนอเป็น 6 บท คือ บทที่ 1 เป็นบทนำ กล่าวถึงความเป็นมาของปัญหา และความมุ่งหมายของการวิจัย บทที่ 2 กล่าวถึงความหมายของไสยศาสตร์ บทที่ 3 กล่าวถึงลักษณะของไสยศาสตร์ในเรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผน บทที่ 4 กล่าวถึงบทบาทของไสยศาสตร์ในเรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผน บทที่ 5 กล่าวถึงลักษณะของไสยศาสตร์ในเรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผนเปรียบเทียบกับไสยศาสตร์ในวรรณคดีเรื่องอื่น ๆ ที่พอจะเทียบกันได้ บทที่ 6 สรุปผลการวิจัยและให้ข้อเสนอแนะสำหรับการศึกษาต่อไป ในตอนท้ายเป็นภาคผนวกซึ่งประกอบด้วยศัพท์และความหมายทางไสยศาสตร์ที่ปรากฏในเรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผน. |
| Other Abstract: | This thesis studies and analyses the characteristic and the role of magic in the ballad : Khun Chang Khun Phan to ascertain the general features of magic in this literary work, to find out the use of magic as literary devices and to compare magic in Khun Change Khun Phan with the magic in other literary works. The writer made use of the knowledge about magic in Anthropology as a means for studying the characteristic of the magic in Khun Chang Khun Phan. The study shows that both black magic and white magic appear in Khun Chang Khun Phan and that the authors of the ballad made 3 main uses of magic namely (1) to enhance the quality of the leading men, (2) to facililate the progress of the story and (3) to made incidents seem more probable. The writer frist collected to use as data all “magical” incidents in Khun Chang Khun Phan. Next, she classified them into groups of similar feature. Analysis was then made. The result is presented in 6 chapters. Chapter I, introduces the problem and presents the aim of the thesis ; Chapter II deals with magic and its meaning. Chapter III discusses the chatacteristic of magic in Khun Chang Khun Phan ; Chapter IV deals with literary role of magic in Khun Chang Khun Phan ; Chapter V gives a comparison of magic in Khun Chang Khun Phan and that in the literary works of about the same period; Chapter VI gives the conclusion and some suggestion for future study. The appendix containing a glossary of magical terms is given at the end. |
