| Abstract: | ศึกษาถ้อยคำอุปลักษณ์ที่สะท้อนมโนทัศน์เกี่ยวกับชีวิตในหนังสือธรรมะและวิเคราะห์หน้าที่ของมโนอุปลักษณ์เกี่ยวกับชีวิตในหนังสือธรรมะ โดยใช้ข้อมูลจากผลงานหนังสือธรรมะของพระธรรมาจารย์ 6 ท่าน จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 60 เล่ม ผลการศึกษาถ้อยคำอุปลักษณ์เกี่ยวกับชีวิตในหนังสือธรรมะพบว่า สะท้อน มโนอุปลักษณ์ชีวิต 15 มโนอุปลักษณ์ได้แก่ [ชีวิตคือการเดินทาง] [ชีวิตคือการต่อสู้/สงคราม] [ชีวิตคือทรัพยากร] [ชีวิตคือธุรกิจ] [ชีวิตคือภาชนะ/สถานที่ปิดล้อม] [ชีวิตคือสิ่งที่ไม่คงทน] [ชีวิตคือการศึกษา] [ชีวิตคือต้นไม้] [ชีวิตคือละคร] [ชีวิตคือกีฬา] [ชีวิตคือสิ่งปลูกสร้าง] [ชีวิตคือแสงเทียน/แสงตะเกียง] [ชีวิตคือสัตว์ไม่เชื่อง] [ชีวิตคือสิ่งที่มีปริมาณ/ความยาว] และ [ชีวิตคือสิ่งที่ต้องขัดแต่งเพิ่ม] มโนอุปลักษณ์เหล่านี้สะท้อนให้เห็นมุมมองเกี่ยวกับชีวิต ตามแนวทางพระพุทธศาสนาหลายประการคือ ธรรมะเป็นสิ่งจำเป็นสำหรับชีวิต ทุกชีวิตต้อง เจอปัญหาหรืออุปสรรค อวิชชาทำให้ชีวิตเป็นทุกข์ ชีวิตไม่แน่นอนเกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงได้ ตลอดเวลา ชีวิตแสนสั้น การเกิด- การตายเป็นสิ่งคู่กันและความตายเกิดได้ทุกขณะ เราควร กำหนดเป้าหมายหรือวางแผนในการดำเนินชีวิต ชีวิตมีค่าจึงควรใช้ชีวิตให้คุ้มค่า เราควรหมั่น ตรวจสอบการใช้ชีวิต เหตุการณ์ในชีวิตล้วนเป็นผลมาจากกรรม ชีวิตเป็นสิ่งที่สามารถพัฒนา ให้ดีขึ้นได้ ผลการวิเคราะห์หน้าที่ของมโนอุปลักษณ์ชีวิตในหนังสือธรรมะพบว่า ทำหน้าที่ 2 ด้านคือ (1) ด้านการถ่ายทอดความคิด ได้แก่ การอธิบายความ การทำให้เกิดมุมมองใหม่และ การให้เหตุผลสนับสนุนให้ผู้อ่านทำหรือไม่ทำพฤติกรรมบางอย่างเช่น ให้ผู้อ่านปลงอนิจจัง ไม่กลัวความตาย ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในชีวิต ให้ผู้อ่านใช้ชีวิตด้วยความไม่ประมาท ให้ผู้อ่าน หมั่นทำความดี ไม่ทำความชั่ว และให้ผู้อ่านพัฒนาตนเอง (2) ด้านการเรียบเรียงความ ได้แก่ การลำดับความในปริจเฉท |
| Other Abstract: | This thesis aims at analyzing the metaphorical expressions reflecting concepts about life in Dharma books. Another objective is to examine the functions of the conceptual metaphors. The data were collected from 60 Dharma Books that were written by 6 reputable Buddhist monks. The finding shows that there are 15 concepts about life as reflected by the metaphorical expressions in Dharma books, namely 1) [life is a journey], 2) [life is a battle/ war], 3) [life is a resource], 4) [life is business], 5) [life is a container/ closed off area], 6) [life is an impermanent thing], 7) [life is education], 8) [life is a tree], 9) [life is a drama],10) [life is a sport], 11) [life is a building], 12) [life is candlelight/ lamplight], 13) [life is a wild animal], 14) [life is a measurable object], and 15) [life is an object that needs polish]. These conceptual metaphors represent 10 aspects about life from the perspective of Buddhism including; 1) Dharma is essential for life. 2) Obstacles are unavoidable. 3) The cause of Dukkha ‘suffering’ is Avijja ‘ignorance’.4) Life is impermanent. 5) Life is short. Birth comes with death, and death could happen all the time. 6) We should have a plan for our life. 7) Life is valuable; therefore, we should live a careful life. 8) We should always examine our way of living. 9) All incidents in our life are the results of our Karma, ‘what we have done in the past’. 10) We can improve our life. In terms of function, the findings indicate that the conceptual metaphors in Dharma books serve 2 functions, namely ideational function and textual function. The ideational function includes explanation, reconceptualization and persuasion to do or not to do something. The textual functionอุปลักษณ์ (Metaphor) is to organize the text. |
