dc.description.abstract	ย่านพาณิชยกรรมเก่าเมืองแปดริ้ว เป็นศูนย์กลางการค้าที่สำคัญของจังหวัดฉะเชิงเทราในอดีตพัฒนาการของย่านทั้งทางด้านกายภาพ เศรษฐกิจ สังคม เกิดควบคู่มากับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของระบบคมนาคมโดยรอบพื้นที่มาอย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่สมัยรัตนโกสินทร์ตอนต้น ถือเป็นพื้นที่ศูนย์กลางทางสังคมและเศรษฐกิจของชุมชนที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะ และเป็นที่จดจำของคนภายในย่านและพื้นที่ข้างเคียง แต่ปัจจุบันกำลังประสบปัญหาซบเซา เนื่องจากคนเข้ามาใช้พื้นที่น้อยลง กิจกรรมการค้าในหลายๆส่วนปิดตัวหรือโยกย้ายพื้นที่หรือเปลี่ยนกิจกรมไป การฟื้นฟูบูรณะพื้นที่ย่านพาณิชยกรรมเก่าเมืองแปดริ้วให้มีสภาพเหมาะสมกับกิจกรรม และการใช้งานในปัจจุบัน มีความจำเป็นที่ต้องศึกษาถึงลักษณะเฉพาะ (characteristics) ทั้งด้านกายภาพ เศรษฐกิจ สังคมและจินตภาพของพื้นที่ เช่น รูปลักษณะเส้นทางสายสำคัญในย่าน รูปแบบของกลุ่มอาคาร เป็นต้น โดยทำการปรับปรุงความเชื่อมั่นต่อของโครงข่ายการสัญจรทุกระบบ การสร้างมุมมองเพื่อเข้าถึงของพื้นที่ และรักษาเส้นทางของกิจกรรมเดิมให้คงอยู่ การฟื้นฟูบูรณะสัดส่วนของมวลอาคารและที่ว่างให้สัมพันธ์และเหมาะสมกับกิจกรรม การปรับเปลี่ยนประโยชน์ใช้สอยอาคาร และพื้นที่ว่างสาธารณะ รวมถึงการรักษารูปแบบของกิจกรรมการค้าที่มีลักษณะเฉพาะไว้ และการฟื้นฟูบูรณะองค์ประกอบทางจินตภาพของย่าน ทั้งนี้ เพื่อให้พื้นที่ย่านพาณิชยกรรมเก่าเมืองแปดริ้วนั้นคงไว้ซึ่งลักษณะเฉพาะอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ต่อไป และคงอยู่ในปัจจุบันได้อย่างร่วมสมัย เหมาะสมสอดคล้องกับวิถีชีวิตของคนในย่านเป็นสำคัญ	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	Paet Riu old commercial district was once a major commercial center. Its development occurred in accordance with the transformation of transport network in and around the area since the early Rattanakosin era. The area was also considered as a unique and memorable socioeconomic center. At present, it is dilapidated because there are less users; several commercial parts are closed or moved or transformed to other uses. Urban rehabilitation of Paet Rui old commercial district to fit in more suitable and present uses and activities needs a study on the area’s spatial and socio-economic characteristics i.e., street and block patterns. This can be done by the rehabilitation of its street network, visual linkage, activity routes, building masses fitting to the uses and the adaptive reuse of building and open spaces, the keep of the area’s unique commercial uses including the rehabilitation of the urban image. This is to maintain the area’s uniqueness, to enhance its contemporary use that corresponds to its local dwellers.	en
