Abstract:	The quantitative studies of four main alkaloids namely morphine, codeine, thebaine and narcotine from the latex of Papaver somniferum L. of white flowered and red flowered, indicated the presence of highest amount of morphine among other alkaloids. It has been found that the contents of the four main alkaloids from the second lancings vary from day to day.
Other Abstract:	จากการศึกษาปริมาณอัลกาลอยด์หลัก 4 ชนิด คือ morphine, codeine, thebaine และ narcotine จากยางฝิ่น ทั้งจากต้นดอกขาว และต้นดอกแดง บ่งว่า morphine มีปริมาณสูงที่สุด และการศึกษายางฝิ่นที่ได้จากการกรีดครั้งที่ 2 พบว่า ปริมาณอัลกาลอยด์หลักทั้ง 4 ชนิดมีการแปรผันในแต่ละวัน
